Are we really surprised that this update is a rerun? No and we shouldn’t be. Were we hopeful? Yes. That’s okay. What alarms me is that people are already throwing in the towel because of it. Honestly I think LADs/PPG/Infold have had their hands tied. I think if they could, they would release Valko. We still have to keep fighting. We still have to make our voices heard in support of Valko and the return of the game as it’s meant to be. Guys, I know we're all disappointed at not having gotten an announcement and the update not having Valko. But let's be real, we all already knew he wasn't going to be in it. Again, keep in mind that currently they have their hands tied, this may be one of the ONLY things they are currently allowed to do and CAN do. In the words of a friend of mine who is a game dev: Keep in mind they can't leave the game dead in the water. It is their lifeblood. Their main source of revenue. They can schedule things on the server side ahead of time. Even if they don't it is one button to run an event and someone might be able to do it remotely depending on how they set it up. Don't give up, keep being loud. We should NOT give up, especially with how far we've come. Oh… Yeah I am staying off the app to preserve my mental health for the night. Sorry everyone, but I just need to cry for a bit. ‼️vent incoming, feel free to just keep scrolling‼️ Wander in wonder was a banner that ended just before I started playing, so I never got Grassland Romance. I really wanted that card and I was looking forward to both that one and misty invasion’s rerun. But here we are. @Love_Deepspace got me through a crappy breakup when my ex cheated on me late last year. He betrayed me, but Sylus was always there. Fictional or not, he was a constant source of comfort when I needed one most. And the game was important to me even before that happened. I’m an introverted 33 year old woman who is too anxious to make friends because I’ve dealt with stalkers, bullies and just shitty people in general. So seeing the game I loved so very much give in to bullies is so fucking heartbreaking to me. I still hope that #Valko can return to us someday. But until that day, I don’t think I will be opening the game anymore. Because I feel like I just got my heart broken all over again. And I know, until any official announcements we don’t know anything, but still. I’ll keep advocating for Valko’s implementation, you can be sure of that, but for tonight, I just need to be sad for a bit. I know this feels awful right now, but can we please not give up just yet and wait a little longer? I know, i know, we’re all exhausted from waiting & being ghosted, but I’m trying to stay optimistic for now. I don’t think it’s that unreasonable that the new version update doesn’t include Valko yet. What concerns me more is that they skipped the Misty Invasion rerun, because it makes me wonder if the recent censorship issues are already having an impact. At the same time though, maybe they’re just keeping a low profile while all of this is unfolding and the govt is up their asses. This would include big announcements, because they draw lots of attention too. None of us knows what’s happening behind the scenes, and until we do, I don’t want to assume the worst. I know waiting is frustrating, but I think it’s worth holding onto a little hope for a bit longer.
