#UCR50 @KatryaLy Athletes have a lot of pressure on them when it comes to sports and academics. Some might say that athletes are sort of “lazy” yet people don’t recognize that athletes are usually overworked due to having to keep certain academic standards and win competitions.

college athletes are put under pressure with sport performance and educational performance in the classroom. they are often overwhelmed with deadlines and given no extensions since theres no excuses. they should be given extra support. #UCR50 @KatryaLy

Coaches impact players’ confidence, esteem & ambition in both sports & academics. However, due to money incentives for coaches to win games, can coaches be trusted to be objective & supportive of athlete education especially if it hinders game performance? @KatryaLy #ucr50

according to the NCAA, academic experience for student athletes is provided but is it really in athlete’s best interests? they are not awarded adequately and held under heavy performance pressure. #UCR50 @KatryaLy
