MONERO PRIVACY TIP YOU MAY NOW KNOW ABOUT
Here Is What You Should Know About Monero Addresses starting with 4...vs 8... .
1) The receive addresses (the ones you share with people for sending you XMR) starting with "8" have better privacy, when compared to addresses starting with "4".
2) By default Unstoppable wallet always shows the address starting with "8" for all Monero wallets. Only when you go to subaddresses section for the wallet you can see the respecitve address for the wallet starting with "4" (if you ever need it).
Our approach to privacy has always taken into account that "user knows nothing" and hence needs to be protected by default. So you don't have to bother about learning such bits.
This doesn't apply just to Monero wallets in Unstoppable app.
Same approach is taken for :
- Bitcoin wallets. There is no point in listing all capabilities we have build over the years enough to say we provide the most sophisticated and comprehensive Bitcoin wallet for mobile ever built. All on native mobile stack. All open source.
- for networking layer in the app: private RPCs for sending transactions, TOR connectivity
- crypto swap features include dozens under the hood privacy preserving mechanisms
- extensive support for privacy coins beyond Monero (ZANO, Zcash, soon ARRR) with ability to trade via DEXes
... ok enough bragging this was meant to be a quick post on our approach to Monero addresses :)
Be Unstoppable!

if your life depends on the privacy of your transactions, never give away the address that starts with 4 generate a new subaddress that starts with 8 and share that since it's statically harder to attempt to track. most wallets should guide people to do this by default as i've seen plenty sharing their 4 address without even knowing @cakewallet @vikrantnyc
