You caused it, Its not just Iran. It's Russian oil also. Have you told the people of Australia that the crude oil you source from India actually comes from Russia. So after all that chest puffing UN embargo Russian crap. You still buy oil from them through India at a higher price. You're an idiot.

@AlboMP “My message to petrol stations overcharging: the ACCC will take action” What Anthony Albanese won’t tell you is that his Government raised the tax on fuel on February 1. As if we weren’t paying enough already.

@AlboMP Petrol rationing should be implemented ASAP. Bring back the odds and evens method, set limits on how much petrol people can buy, prioritise fuel for farmers who produce our food, before people start panic buying food, which won't take long FYI.

You did this. You’re blaming petrol stations. They don’t set the system — your ideological policies do. Here’s how Albanese’s government helped drive fuel prices •Expansionary budgets that kept demand high during inflation •Migration surge increasing transport and fuel demand across the economy •Welfare boosts and tax changes lifting consumption •Industrial relations changes increasing wage costs across freight, logistics and transport •Infrastructure spending competing for labour, pushing up construction and diesel costs •Net zero and climate policy discouraging investment in oil, gas and coal •Domestic gas interventions increasing uncertainty and input energy costs •Anti-mining signals and project delays tightening future supply •No serious rebuild of refining capacity → Australia remains dependent on imported fuel •Safeguard Mechanism and emissions compliance increasing costs across energy and industry •High domestic energy prices flowing through refining, transport and distribution •Energy rebates masking inflation instead of fixing underlying costs Result: Higher demand + tighter supply + higher system costs → higher fuel prices → higher transport costs → higher cost of everything And now on top of that: You’re happy to complain about fuel prices and blame petrol stations while refusing to meaningfully back efforts in Iran to secure the global oil supply route through the Middle East. If the US steps in and stabilises supply, Australia benefits — because we import most of our fuel. So the question is simple: You don’t want to help secure the supply… but you’ll be more than happy to benefit form it and turn around for another photo op saying what great deal you made . I hope Trump turns around and tells you where to go. I hope he tells you to go negotiate for our oil and fuel with China. Then and maybe then, when your voters finally get flogged by the results of their votes.. they’ll get it. If Australia needs to hit rock bottom in order to wake up the scourge that is the leftist ideology and Socilaism.. then so be it. Petrol stations didn’t cause this Labor policy did, and now you want the benefits without carrying any of the risk. You did this.

@AlboMP What consequences are you going to face for squandering our taxes on jets and helicopters to go to the football? As if you’re worried about price gouging. It’s just more gaslighting & weaponising a situation as an excuse to apply huge fines as a revenue raiser.

**@AlboMP** Last time prices hit these highs, the LNP slashed fuel excise by 50% — from 44c to 22c a litre — for actual relief at the pump. Your mob just indexed it up again on Feb 1 (now ~52c/L), ruled out any cut, and instead deflects with empty ACCC threats while Aussies cop the spike. All talk, no action. Pathetic.

@AlboMP You're lying once again, Albanese. There is nothing the ACCC can do about the pricing. If there's no price fixing or collusion, the ACCC can't do SFA, so they can charge whatever they want.

Yawn. The government has tried to fix price gouging for 50 years: • 1976 – Royal Commission • 1984 – PSA inquiry • 1990 – Price freeze • 1994–99 – State/federal inquiries • 1998 – Oversight scrapped • 2007 – ACCC inquiry + Oilcode • 2013 – Shopper docket cap • 2024 – Price gouging bill • 2026 – Penalties doubled
