@Teslarati Range. Faster charging sounds great until I'm hunting for an open stall. I'll take the buffer and skip the scavenger hunt.

@Teslarati Cybertruck could use faster charging. but Tesla is ramping up V4 cabs, so it’ll eventually get there. not a huge inconvenience or deal breaker to have 10-15 min longer of a breather when charging on older tech Superchargers

@Teslarati It's a combination depending on your needs. Day to day i don't care and 200 miles is enough (with home charging). On road trips i want 200 miles real world range and charge from 10% to 80 or 90% in 20 to 30 mins so I can finish my refreshments at the services

@Teslarati Longer range so you are mire flexibel in where you stop. You need the breaks anyway.

@Teslarati I want the peace of mind that longer range gives. Yes, even if I don’t use it cause pee stops. Peace of mind is valuable.

@Teslarati Both, but not at the expensive of longevity or price. Those are my metrics. Therefore I love my Model Y.

@Teslarati It about matches my bladder demands on the 1 in 15 days that home charging does not cover my needs . I wake up with 325 miles every morning. Costs ~£5 at £0.07p per kWh . I usually just need enough new charge to get home to that sanctuary safer price.

Longer range because the range is cut in half or more when I tow. With a U-Haul's 2-axle clunky trailer, (almost no streamlining by design), range is cut to 1/3 for my Model Y long range. So adding 180 "miles" gets me 60 miles, barely enough to the next charger sometimes, while towing.

@Teslarati Yes! I’ll never buy an electric car unless it has twice the range of my gas car and can charge in five seconds.

BOTH Until we get to 5-minute charge speeds for a 100 kWh battery pack—which I think we will achieve in the next 10 years—they should offer longer-range options for the Cybertruck, etc. There’s room in the battery pack. For people who tow, etc., it would make it truly useful and shut normal people up once and for all about the range. It doesn’t have to be the same price. Charge extra for the bigger battery pack.

@Teslarati The 250kw is lots of speed. Just needs to be more consistent through to at least 80%.

@Teslarati Need at least 500 mile stated range to still get decent range when cold, into wind, uphill, etc. Then I don't want to wait more than 10min for a 20% to 80% charge. Might get there with soil d sta

Longer range. Fastest chargers still make you pull off the highway. 400 actual range w/o damaging the battery pack is what is needed. Given that Tesla recommends only charging to 80% and given the scarcity of charging locations (vs gas stations) a 20% lower limit is advisable. Actual range is based on 60% of the capacity. So a 600 mile pack should be the goal.
