Just got #fsdbeta 12.2 and did my first trip through very difficult intersections from Berkeley to Oakland with no interventions! It proactively avoided bathtub-sized potholes on 56th st!

@rms80 Yes we prototyped it in Python, but we ported it to C++ and had 3D toolpaths with easy interface for defining patterns from 2D vector images as well back in 2014!

@rms80 Sorry to correct you Ryan,Topolabs could generate non planar toolpaths for any 3D input model.

pretty cool to see someone finally do this...~10 years ago during the wild 3DP hype times, adsk acquired a startup that claimed to be able to do curved printing, but it turned out to be a python script directly generating gcode for a single analytic shape🙃

@elonmusk Fsd beta 10.69.2.2 performed really well on my Berkeley challenge intersections test! Still needs help at odd roundabouts but it is clearly improving.

#chucksleftturn is a great example.What do you think the risk is of human drivers having an accident on that turn with fast traffic both ways is? Maybe 1/100,000? 1/0,000? I’d like to know before I try it as a human. And #fsdbeta will (soon) make much more informed choices

Something that fascinates me is the changing awareness of things that have huge effects on our lives but were previously ignored or assumed to be immutable

#SelfDrivingCars should make better choices than most humans do but also educate us so we can choose better ourselves

I suspect that in the future we’ll all become more aware of the actual (maybe even statistical) risks we choose to take - while driving for example

For example I think #fsdbeta69 testing is highlighting the under appreciated risks most of us take while we humans are driving

@elonmusk Chuck Cook left turn intersections are too dangerous even for humans . Pls have #FSDBeta do the right thing and turn right / re-route unless it is completely clear.

@anothercohen Hey - I apologize. I should have explained: you basically want to average the figures. So less. Inflation is tracked by averaging values over a range of typical items.

Today #tesla fsd beta stopped suddenly at a crosswalk for no apparent reason. I was just about to manually accelerate through when a cyclist I didn’t see darted across from behind a tree. Saved.

I finally got #tesla fsd beta! I have been waiting for this my whole life.

Dulles airport: approx 1/3 of people w/o masks. Varies significantly by gate / location however #COVID19

Not sure if I just couldn’t focus today or if I was testing brilliant new ways to procrastinate.
