@sonicstarrr Exactly lol there is no agenda. Recently we were praising that IDW issue with Sonic, Shadow and the Chaotix to hell and back cause it was really well written and in character. If Flynn writes well we give him props

Something that truly get me is that if Mr.Flynn suddenly wrote the magnum opus of sonic games and hit every mark the JP fans would literally give him a 15minute long standing ovation I promise y’all there is no “agenda” other than keeping Sonic stories as good as possible

True. But it becomes a problem when to many versions are extremely different to the point they’re only Sonic by name. Movie Sonic being the worst offender of this. Really I think ova Sonic is the best example of a good adaptation. Different enough to be unique but still Sonic

Some of y'all are way too strict about characterization Lupin in Cagliostro isn't exactly the same as Lupin in the 1st and Mickey in the old shorts isn't exactly the same as Mickey in the 2013 shorts but it's just a different flavor so i'm like yeah that's the guy

Honestly the DC comic crossover kinda #droppedtheball not having more interactions outside the pairings (Superman with Sonic kinda fits more anyway imo, feels like they just chose Flash cause he's fast and cocky but idk I could be wrong)

Honestly Super Sonic really needs that Superman energy that I think has been missing for a while. Super Sonic should have this warm feeling of hope while still feeling very powerful

Rouge’s Sonic Prime outfit was designed by Sega and is apparently designed to be “in-line with her character development” whatever that’s supposed to mean
Despite this Rouge still wears her regular outfit in newer projects just with some really weird attempts at censorship

The impact SatAM had on the American side of the franchise is NOTHING compared to the movies' impact

@SSJSonicGod @adampixelrush @THENEWOmegan It still doesn’t change the fact that they’re fundamentally bad adaptations. The only thing SatAM has in common with the Sonic games is that they share the same title. But besides that, it’s as far removed from what Sonic is as you can get.

Not that I’m judging, I haven’t even seen enough of AOSTH to really have my own opinion, but that version of Sonic SEEMS to be a pretty different interpretation of Sonic than his original intent.

@THENEWOmegan It's about getting the spirit down. An adaptation can do whatever as long as it gets the basic fundamentals of the character. It's why the movies don't work as adaptations IMO, they stray too far to where you could replace Sonic with any other character and nothing would change.

That is NOT what the movie demonstrated. That's not even what the scene you're screenshotting demonstrated. The movie did not show Tom helping the community AT ALL. And he's making a big show out of the duck crossing because he's BORED AND UNSATISFIED.
