@RSASIU: "The SIU investigation, authorised under Proclamation R.80 of 2022, uncovered how Eskom officials at Kusile and Matla Power Stations turned procurement into a jackpot. Between 2021 and 2023, officials approved inflated and irregular purchase orders for relays, which are equipment meant to keep power stations running. Instead of delivering reliable service, Nkosi’s companies delivered invoices. Eskom officials signed off on contracts that priced relays at R50,000 each, when the market price was between R180 and R450. This manipulation resulted in a direct financial loss of R73,650,994.87 to Eskom. " @Abramjee @eNCA

@JewishWarrior13 And Iran want the blockade gone as they need those Chinese ships with the anti aircraft missiles to pass through.

@MarioNawfal Iran is not interested in a deal. Iran needs the straight open so that ships can bring in Chinese anti-aircraft missiles and other weapons.

It’s a way to steal investment funds from businesses. So the businesses never invest in SA. So the jobs are never created.
Nick@2coolnick

@rodcampsbay Why are foreigners forced into BEE? They didnt create apartheid laws or in-forced them. Never understood this part.

South Africa is a vast country. 13.6 million people live in parts of the country which are so remote that setting up fibre networks is not viable. Satellite coverage is the way to go. No one is forced to buy it. No one is forced to use it. If you don’t want it, don’t have it. But don’t stop others from having it. The brouhaha over Starlink is nothing to do with the need or cost of it. The visceral response is that Musk has exposed a raw nerve in the BBBEE apartheid system and is demonstrating that he is anti apartheid and will not trade under such conditions. Countless other businesses would set up in SA if the BBBEE Apartheid system were to be repealed. Musk’s Starlink is the only visible one.
ChrisExcel@ChrisExcel102

Starlink cost R950 a month A local Internet Fiber network cost R130 a months with fast internet Why does Elon Musk thinks we desperately need that thing here 😭😭😭

@TimesLIVE @Sefara_Mak Harsh sentence🤣🤣. Law says minimum sentence is 15years. 5 years is a drop in the bucket. And this country is a crime hot spot because criminal politicians like this dude is handled like they are new born babies. Make examples of these criminals. We know malema is corrupt to

My view is that Malema messed up by playing with firearms and then attacking the magistrate from the dock. Olivier also messed up by allowing her emotions to cloud her judgment and issuing a harsh sentence. Two wrongs don’t make a right, writes @Sefara_Mak. sundaytimes.timeslive.co.za/opinion-and-an…
