This post is an excellent litmus test for understanding of just war theory.
Despite the fact that I can see how effective this would be, I must oppose it because the damage it would do to my enemy (who bashes in my mailbox) would far outweigh the good of saving my mailbox. Its disproportionality is opposed by our duty in charity (and even justice) to watch out even for the good of our enemies.
(Yes, by the way, I have had my mailbox bashed in by random vandals.)

Well that's one of the reason, the other big reason men don't gush over kids is because kids are fucking annoying! I don't have kids, nor do I want any, and I think a big part of the reason for this is because whenever i'm at the store and I see some kid bugging their mom and/or dad to buy them a toy, or candy or whatever, I think to myself "Geeze i'm glad I don't have kids", i'm sure plenty of people, men especially feel the same way. We prefer our peace and quiet.

men don't "gush over children" in public because people like you call men pedophiles if they do that. every man is keenly aware that there are social consequences for being too friendly towards kids. men have paternal instincts, you just force them to suppress those instincts.

lots of strange reactions to this game. let’s clear some things up: childless men do not have paternal instincts the way that childless women have maternal instincts (we observe this even in the way little girls play vs. little boys). men first experience paternal instincts once they have their own children - and typically, those paternal instincts are only ever felt for their own children, and no one else’s. men are not nurturers. men don’t gush over cute kids in public. men don’t have baby fever. if a man wants to possess a child for any reason other than it being a product of his own lineage, he is likely a predator. and you’d be taking the feminist/radical gender abolitionist position to protest any of the above points. this should explain why a “dad simulator” game marketed to mostly childless men gives people the creeps.

It isn’t billionaires. It’s the principle that individuals have a right to produce, trade, and keep what they earn.
Billionaires are just the most visible target. Start there, and you normalize the idea that success is a liability. Once that principle is accepted, it doesn’t stay confined. It moves downward.
And there’s a practical side you’re ignoring. In a free system, you choose who you deal with. You can walk away. When power shifts to bureaucrats, that choice disappears. You deal with them whether you want to or not.
So no, it isn’t about defending the rich. It’s about rejecting a system where your rights depend on who has political power.
