Forty years ago, the district had 176 full-time, certified school librarians for 259 schools. Philadelphia has perhaps the nation’s worst big-city ratio for school librarians; just 3 schools — Central, Masterman, and Penn Alexander — employ full-time certified school librarians.

BTW no charter school is truly op-enrollment. There are target zip codes, an enrollment process, & lottery.

#CAB chair just announced next meeting for Feb 8 2025. Problem is that's a Saturday.

#CAB board member (and Belmont Charter CEO) asks about the deficiencies of Hillsdale app; atty says Hillsdale has "no intention" of violating any state requirements. Problem he skirts is that the law requires specific assurances in the application itself.
