@RobWyman @_ROB_29 Overuse of brakes causes them to overheat. Thermal expansion and other physics cause there to be no braking action past a certain point. Even if the air system fails and the spring brakes apply, nothing happens.

@_ROB_29 Brakes don't fail in trucks. And there are 10 brake chambers. If there is loss of air pressure(blown pipelines, air cylinders) then the secondary brakes are automatically deployed to bring the vehicle to a stop.
