Between the heat, partying, drinking, and people being outside late at night, things tend to get very active across the city. This is the right move by the @NYPDPC

The comments by reporters endorsing the cold-blooded murder of a husband and father are absolutely reprehensible. No decent human being should be celebrating or justifying the execution of another person because they disagree with his business practices or politics. The normalization of this kind of rhetoric is dangerous and morally bankrupt. What makes this even more disturbing is that some of the individuals making these statements hold official NYC press credentials. Press passes exist to provide legitimate journalists access to scenes, events, and restricted areas so they can inform the public, not so radical activists can masquerade as members of the media while promoting extremism and political violence. Over the past several years, we have repeatedly seen individuals carrying press credentials using them during demonstrations and events to harass police officers, intimidate members of the public, interfere with law enforcement operations, and shield activist behavior behind the label of “journalism.” That undermines the credibility of legitimate reporters and creates serious public safety concerns. After hearing from multiple reporters with decades of experience reporting in NYC, before I left office, my administration was going through the process of rewriting the rules governing NYC press credentials to strengthen standards, protect the integrity of the press corps, and prevent political activists posing as journalists from obtaining official credentials and the access that comes with them. As your own publication reported, those proposed reforms were going through the rule-making process before being scrapped by the current administration: nydailynews.com/2026/01/12/mam… That decision was reckless. Official press credentials should not be handed out in a way that allows extremists to abuse them while hiding behind the credibility and protections afforded to legitimate journalism. This needs to change, and it needs to change now.

You won’t hear this on Fox News: California just released a balanced budget that wipes out the deficit this year AND next — while protecting health care and safety nets. Meanwhile, Trump ADDED $2.4 TRILLION to the federal deficit with his “Big Beautiful Betrayal.” Republicans ruin budgets. Democrats balance them. Adulting matters.

Amazing how dishonest the Democrats are. Here's reality. First and foremost, the bulk of this deficit was of Mamdani's own making. He blew up the budget by an unprecedented $15 billion dollars in new spending over last year. The largest single-year spending increase ever. So right off the bat our fiscal crisis was exacerbated by Mamdani's insane spending demands. Had he simply kept spending levels approximately where they were -- already a massive $110 billion dollars -- we could've avoided most of this crisis entirely. Next, Mamdani didn't close the deficit through successful leadership or any kind of fiscal discipline. He didn't boost the New York economy and end up with a pile of money from booming businesses or new residents. He got a multibillion dollar bailout from Albany and is raising taxes. That's the big accomplishment Democrats are bragging about here. Higher taxes, and a bailout from upstate. That's success to Democrats. The rest is accounting tricks courtesy of the pliant City Council finance committee, who have been busy 'finding' money by revising revenue estimates upward in order to fill in the gaps. No way that'll bite us in the future! And lets not forget the tens of billions that this city wastes every single year, which are going completely untouched. Nonprofits, welfare for illegals, and political activism. Not just untouchable, but set to get fat increases. That's the real story of the budget. 'Democrats Deliver' indeed.

Here’s my honest assessment: Generation of kids raised by no fathers. Those kids have no respect for authority or anyone else. At least the grandparents are able to show them a few things. It turns into another generation of kids raised by even less fathers and no grandparents. Those kids don’t respect anything. These takeovers are being done by kids who think it’s funny to destroy things. They think it’s hysterical to ruin the public’s night. They’re not worried about consequences or anything else because it was never taught to them. They truly are feral. Combined with soft on crime leftist policies, these kids tear things up and look forward to doing it again. The solution? Start locking up the parents, too. Vote judges in who give out maximum penalties. Vote in mayors and sheriffs who will focus less on “rehabilitation” in jail and make it “hard time” again. Show these kids there will be consequences. Make jail so unattractive it makes them think twice before they do something like this. It has to be stopped now or else the next generation will be even worse.
