A sweet and unexpected present from a friend: a well-done for getting through a week-and-a-bit of being ill and still managing to smash a couple of huge deadlines, while simultaneously delivering a new library-based project and three gigs in the space of 24 hrs. (I am exhausted.)

Yesterday I tweeted a photo of a tree near my house, in a post about pareidolia (seeing faces and other images in everyday objects). This morning I woke up to find this from the wonderful @PrivateerArt. Don’t let anyone tell you that Twitter has lost its magic.

Getting back into the habit of submitting poetry and saw this thanks to the wonderful @lozzawriting

Word that’s making me smile today: pareidolia. It’s the tendency to find faces or other meaningful patterns in everyday things. A fox in a cloud, a heartbeat in white noise, an owl in a tree trunk.
