According to the IDF, he later admitted he brought his child as a human shield - a deliberate attempt to exploit the presence of a child to deter fire. The child was lightly injured, treated by Israeli forces, and transferred safely to the Red Cross. If you can’t say clearly that using a toddler as a human shield is wrong - no matter who does it - then you’re not defending human rights. You’re excusing their abuse.
