@VoicingDragoon7 It eas just what happened. The Iron cage was a measurement tool by the Iron Warriors to gage and test the Imperial Fists, which in turn the Imperial Gists ised as well, all for both sides to use it as a laboratory of warfare to see which method was the best.

@VoicingDragoon7 His own legion/chapter made their own renditions of the pain glove and then smaller types of the same device were installed in the armor to drive them harder, specifically during the Iron Cage.

@AngryMinis I do NOT recall Dorn implementing the butchers nails lite into his legions armor. That'd just ruin the point of the glove

@AngryMinis @CptnBollocks Several Primarchs have a neurosis toward doing a thing to the best of their ability. If Dorn was actually going to fall to Chaos I don't think he aligns with any one member of the Pantheon. He'd be more Perturabo then anything else.

@VoicingDragoon7 I do love me some Iron Warriors too. But Salamanders are my primary. That said...check out the "usage" of the pain glove, then pain glove type augments to astartes armor, as well as throwing themselves needlessly into a fray, and defending positions they know to be of no interest
