Seth Klarman wrote this in 1998, but swap "Internet" for "AI" and it feels like a mirror image of 2026:
🚩 Extreme concentration in top 20 stocks
🚩 Valuations based on "inevitability" rather than cash flow
🚩 "home trading via the internet"
As Klarman wrote, "Most significantly, the prevailing bullish arguments focus on momentum, money flows, and inevitability; valuation underpinnings are not mentioned as part of the bull case."
History doesn't repeat, but it definitely rhymes.

Yes i’m of the opinion $TSLA SpaceX are massively overvalued but believers believe & $TSLA has defied odds. Plus his buddies across tech support each other & help maintain the huge valuations for better access to cheap capital plus keep competitors at bay. They created a world where they don’t have to play by the same financial rules.

Surprised no journalists have read $BXSL's 10-K filed this am, but I'll front run them with the story: Blackstone marked the Medallia loan at 78 in Q4, down from 82 in Q3. It's safe to say the PE sponsor's (and co-investors') $5 billion+ equity check has been vaporized.

The three largest US (30% of global GDP)telecom companies with almost 100% market share, AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, have a combined market-cap of about $600B. They have slightly over 400M subscribers. That’s $1,500 per sub. Now extrapolate Starlink’s subs/market share.

Of course they will - & retailers will probably pump the open to move name into 4th place. Since valuation means nothing in this mkt - I wouldn’t be surprised if they opened it double from opening price to threaten kingpin $NVDA

thats what the "pundits" used to say about $TSLA. Now in Lucids case YUGE backing by Saudis. The nation’s sovereign wealth fund, the Public Investment Fund (PIF), is the majority shareholder, holding over 60% of the company. PIF has invested over $8 billion since 2018 to support Lucid's EV production, including establishing a manufacturing plant in Saudi Arabia.
