@M5Stack That stamp module would be really useful for something I’m working on. Do you know when it will be released?

Vibe check ~ would you buy this for $50? - Compatible with all Offline Protocol apps - Compatible with anything you build on our SDKs - Acts as an incentivized mesh relay - Pairs with companion app to serve a tiny AI with local resources - Syncs knowledge with other local users

@M5Stack What is it and what chip does it use? Maybe something like “Core+” because it’s similar to a core but larger and with extra features.

Eventually they will not sell you computers with hard drives anymore. They will just give you terminals with internet access, so you have no control and are subject to complete surveillance.

Over the past couple of days, there has been a lot of commentary about #Ubuntu and how it'll respond to California's new Digital Age Assurance Act (AB 1043). Read our response on Discourse: discourse.ubuntu.com/t/ubuntus-resp…

@LundukeJournal I suspect every Linux distro will just have an “I confirm I do not reside in the states of California or Colorado” checkbox before allowing you to download it, because there’s no way any dev actually implements this.

The proposed Colorado Bill which would require all Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, etc.) to implement mandatory age verification... is not the first such bill. In fact, California has a very similar bill (AB-1043)... which has already been passed and signed into law by @GavinNewsom. The bill takes effect on January 1st, of 2027 (less than one year from now), with severe financial penalties for any Operating System developer not in compliance.

California's New Bill Requires DOJ-Approved 3D Printers That Report on Themselves Your 3D printer needs to be on a DOJ-approved list or it can't be sold in California. Disabling the surveillance software? That's a misdemeanor. 🐻 blog.adafruit.com/2026/02/19/cal…

@digikey I learned this the hard way when I tried to make a really compact board with a CH340N and STM32G0B0J6. I powered the STM32 from the V3 pin and was confused when there was only ~1V on it, because the datasheet did not say anything about not powering external components from it.

@stupidtechtakes Unfortunately the general public seems to have this same mindset that, despite having the same connector, USB-C PD laptop chargers will always output more power than USB-C PD phone chargers and you’ll fry your phone if you charge it with a laptop charger
