"4th & 9. What do you think, John?" "Well, I've been bald since I was 25, I wear a weird number for a quarterback, and I chose the least amount of face protection allowed by league rules. So I'm pretty much fucking ready to go for it."

Pure power, peak performance. Today, we’re spotlighting sports stars who share matching monikers. We’re building the Mt. Rushmore of 'Alliterative Athletes,' icons whose first and last names start with the same sound. Our mountain: ⚾ Barry Bonds 🏈 Chris Carter ⚾ Mickey Mantle 🏀 Paul Pierce A list this sharp is sure to stir some debate. Who is the best athlete with matching initials that we missed? Let’s see your suggestions!

@JVMonte2 "Live at Leeds" from the Who and "Get yer ya-yas out" from the Stones get my votes, but this one is pretty good too.

Sly & The Family Stone - Everyday People A joyful plea for unity and harmony distilled into two minutes of utopian pop perfection. Powerful song, powerful message, and its nursery rhyme simplicity ensures it sinks in. 1969.

@musicmaned @musicalvagabond A good friend gave me this album about 45 years ago. Only been played once, to make sure it doesn't skip. I have my original White (black vinyl) album that I listen to regularly. I guess it doesn't matter what color the vinyl is as long as the music's good. Have fun tonight

@BWilfrom @musicalvagabond Where does everybody get the color vinyl? I have about 4,000 LPs and I can count on one hand how many are on color vinyl. I feel like I missed the boat somewhere.

It would have to be Gilbert’s 500th. I was also at May Day. That was the craziest and most exciting moment. Not necessarily historic.
Larry Lundin@LarryLundin37

@SabresFunStats What is the most historic thing you've witnessed in person? Mine is 2/24/82 when 99 broke Espo's record with his 76th- 78th in the last 6:36 of the game. Perreault also had a hat trick in the 6-3 loss. 24 years later at the HHOF my friend and I saw the game sheet from that night

@SalvadorDafti When we first met at school, I asked a big mate of mine what his favourite Beatles song was and this was his answer. Right away I thought “aye, you’ll do for me” You can tell a lot about someone by their favourite Beatles song. We’re still pals to this day.
