@gemothy We have a fox that gets fed regularly (Roxy) you have to be tactical when putting the food out, usually there are 2-3 magpies trying to be very nonchalant in the gardens which will dive bomb and inhale the food the instant you're back is turned.

@sdw I think most reading tech-based experiences are not actively designed for readers. Newsletters being read in email clients/advertising plastered in website content. None of this has been designed pro-actively with the reader in mind, none of these spaces are reader-centric.

I genuinely believe we’ll look back on this era of the web and think we were all just collectively insane. The best technology of our existence for reading is ubiquitous yet there’s never been a worse reading experience.

It's exactly 365 days since launching my scriptwriting course, and... ...I'm astounded to say it's done $227,806.78 in topline revenue. This doesn't take into account refunds, rapidly increased expenses, etc... but it's a number 24 y/o me would have never believed possible. In 2022, my friend Gordon told me that my scriptwriting business could easily become a 6-fig p/y thing... and I laughed at him. I'd been making approx $40k p/y in my full-time job, and my life as a freelancer had maybe 1.5x'd that. But this shows the power of a relatively small yet committed audience (11k here, 4.5k newsletter). Committing to writing a weekly newsletter remains the highest ROI thing I've ever done. Ofc, the numbers are obviously only one part of this... the real joy is in what you get to build, the channels you get to work with, and the freedom to spend time with loved ones that a business like this allows. But, today... I'm gonna try and let this sink in a bit. Thank you to everyone who's helped me grow my business and build towards a happier and more fulfilling life :))
