@spayandnuter What about loving flowers but eating living things growing out of the ground
English

@spayandnuter An animal lover like Ingrid Newkirk?
Hypocritical liars with a suicidal ideology.
Meat, fish, eggs, and dairy are food. Food is life. Never go vegan.

English

@_that_dummass_ It is normalized. The problem is humans not giving animals some value than just being a commodity.
English

@teamveganfta TMGFlorida right on cue. Blocked me because they can't handle the truth.
English

This isn’t a lifestyle choice or a dietary preference. Right now, at this exact second, animals are subjected to horrors we are lucky enough not to accurately imagine. 💔
Most of it right now is entirely legal - here’s why being vegan is a moral emergency. 👇

@TimHannan Different batches with different potencies. One lottery I had no interest in playing.

@michal_ptacnik @thebbvegan It's very easy to distance yourself and your responsibility by hiding among the masses. Hopefully humanity evolves like it did with slavery, and discussions like this won't be necessary.

Correct, but if I wanted a lot of gluten somehow, I am too small to be heard, myself or even together with my family. This is not just drop in the ocean argument which I find by the way very persuasive, but it is true futility. And so the murdered animal on the other side of “5 seconds of taste” just isn’t there.
English

Let me ask you 4 questions:
How do you feel about animal abuse?
How do you define animal abuse?
What do you think should happen to those who contribute to animal abuse?
Do you contribute to animal abuse through wearing their skin, eating their flesh, drinking their secretions, or testing on their bodies?
I would encourage you to answer those questions and sit with your thoughts about those answers and question your beliefs around them and let me know what your consensus is.

@jordans92430667 @joyous_retiree @ForgiatoBlow47 You had a choice- Take it or lose your job, Take it or you can't travel, Take it or you lose your rights.
English

@michal_ptacnik @thebbvegan When gluten issues popped up, many people stopped buying products made with it. What was the result? More products were created by the demand. Now you see entire sections devoted to non-gluten products. The suppliers heard the consumers.
English

@BarryReadings @thebbvegan Can you tell me in what way my purchases can make this all or many act differently than they would anyways?
English

@michal_ptacnik @thebbvegan What would happen if nobody bought the animal products that the store had in stock? What would happen if the distributor didn't get paid? What would happen to the slaughterhouse if there was no demand? I can't believe I have to spell this out as if I'm talking with a 3rd grader.

Shopping supports my supermarket and I am happy to do so. What the seller does with their money = their problem. I am not putting a gun to his head. I am not even tempting him to do evil or whatever. He has motive of profit and he buys what he wants, he is a free person. More to the point, I do not even want to create new animals. Why? Waste 50/50. And the more animals you make, the more you pay for the next meat. And therefore, I am buying under the condition "please, take it from the current stock!!" if possible. If they ignore my condition, I have no way of doing anything. This condition is implicit, because I want implicitly to buy cheaper rather than more expensive.

@vivienvegana Plants have no voice.
They do not ask for help.
They do not ask for freedom.
Humanity must be their voice.

@michal_ptacnik @thebbvegan So you don't go to a grocery store with a shopping list? You don't go shopping in any meaningful way? Again, you don't want to take any responsibility for your behavior.
English

@BarryReadings @thebbvegan Hiring a hitman meaningfully and directly increases the danger level for the victim. This is never the case for the consumer.
Hiring a hitman with the odds of harming an animal by purchasing their meat should result in the client walking free.
English

@michal_ptacnik @thebbvegan What do you think life was like just before the animal is killed? It would be a sad world if everybody believed what you believe. My, the things we tell ourselves to avoid individual responsibility.
English

@BarryReadings @thebbvegan I tried but it all boils down to “and then we imagine you are guilty because this is the conclusion we want to reach” aka “here, magic happens”.
Reality: you can’t harm what is already dead and you can’t influence too big systems.
English

@michal_ptacnik @thebbvegan You know what motivates me? I've watched documentaries like Dominion, and yes, it's extremely difficult to watch. I see the look in the animal's eyes. Helpless, fearful. They look to us for help and we betray them. I don't want to be any part of that.
English

@BarryReadings @thebbvegan That may be true but I don’t feel motivated to do something individually futile. My energy is limited. I will be happy if you guys do what you think is best without me. I don’t have FOMO.
English

@michal_ptacnik @thebbvegan "Your honor, my client freely admits to hiring a hitman to murder his wife. But my client didn't pull the trigger. He's completely innocent."
English

@BarryReadings @thebbvegan I am not supporting any industry but my supermarket and that aligns completely. What the supermarket does with the money is their matter, not mine. And it is on them.
English

@michal_ptacnik @thebbvegan If you can't understand that buying meat harms animals then you are not smart or in denial. I think, from your posts you are pretty smart.
English

We watched those that presented the vegan case for why buying meat harms animals and I just could not buy this. And still cannot. It is not persuasive. None I have seen, from a LOT of Earthling Ed, Gary Yourofski, David Ramms, Alex O Connor (now ex vegan), and parts of Dominion... none of it.
English

@michal_ptacnik @thebbvegan For me, it was just two questions I asked myself. 1. Can I enjoy a healthy life style on a plant-based diet? Yes.2. Does supporting an industry that is built on the suffering of innocent animals align with my moral/ethical stance? No.
English

I would be living a lie. I would be sacrificing a part of my health and comfort to zero utility for the animals. Also that of my family, who would not join me - tested on 13 years of vegetarianism, before I started thinking about this deeper, ironically in an attempt to introduce veganism to my family. But when we watched the vegan videos, I want “wait a moment, this makes no sense, I can’t introduce this”. And when reading then the academic literature against the objection of futility and realizing they were completely full of it and why, it hit. Hard.
