Shame I haven't thought of a way of monetising this.

Walking down the hotel corridor I can tell at a glance which are the poker players’ rooms. They all have those little ‘when can we clean your room?’ letters poking apologetically halfway under their doors.

Fun ICM fact: A starting stack is worth about 2.5% more after the first orbit of an MTT.
At the start it’s worth exactly what you paid. One orbit later, stacks stop being symmetrical, so an unchanged starting stack is now slightly more valuable ICM-wise, even if no one busted!
New tournament meta: fold the first orbit.

While I guess we will never know which mystery festival is doing this, this is why PartyPoker lead with the "no hidden fees" thing. It should not need saying, but it does.
Now onto the mystery of which big poker festival is David referring to? It could be anywhere in the world, or even a series of events, maybe in Europe,

If you answered ‘staff’, can you also answer this follow up… If an advertised 4% staff fee does not go to floor staff/dealers and is kept by the operator, do you think this constitutes false advertising by the operator.
