Shawn Michaels explains why he personally believes his best era in WWE was the 2000s: "I know the 90s, from a professional standpoint, I would arguably say that I felt like I was better than a lot of people in the game then, but me personally, I was not in a great place. "But in the 2000s, my work was so much better. As you become a more mature player, you understand momentum, picking your spots, being smarter with the game. "I was able to do that in the 2000s, and also be able to enjoy it. That's the thing that I didn't do early in the 90s, allow myself to enjoy it, because I felt so much pressure. "Majority of it I put on myself and felt like everybody was sort of coming after me, very defensive. "The 2000s, I would easily say it was, certainly for me personally and professionally, a much better time, because I was in a much better place, with a family and children.
