While South African Xenophobic mobs hunt and burn Nigerian businesses in Johannesburg, South African-listed Optasia, operating as Nairatime in Nigeria, led by one Bassim Haidar just burned airtime and data lending from inside Lagos. They walked into a Nigerian court, got a suspension of an FCCPC regulation - aimed at introducing fair competition in the airtime and data borrowing space - and killed ordinary Nigerians' access to credit. The lending program has stopped, which has affected people's lives. While their countrymen hunt Nigerians in South African streets, Optasia hunts Nigerian financial freedom, stifling competition and forcing an imperialist monopoly. And to the Nigerian judicial officials who enabled this, history is watching.

EXPOSED: How A South African-Listed Company Suspended An FCCPC Regulation That Favours Nigerian Fintechs, Using A Nigerian Court! South Africans carrying out baseless xenophobic attacks on Nigerians is enough cause for anger. But more infuriating is a South African-listed company operating in Nigeria brazenly suspending an FCPC regulation that favours Nigerian-owned fintech, using our local courts. A Thread!

Concerns About Deteriorating Security Two weeks have passed since schoolchildren were kidnapped in Borno and Oyo States, yet they remain in captivity. Meanwhile, the government is promoting the formation of a thousand-member rescue team through the media while the children continue to suffer in the wilderness. Today, the security situation across the nation continues to deteriorate. On Sunday, terrorists killed at least seven people and injured ten others in Gwon-Ajang Village, located in the Foron District of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State. In Kogi State, armed assailants kidnapped over 25 individuals and killed one resident during a coordinated raid on the Ayegunle-Igun Community in Kaba-Bunu Local Government Area. These heavily armed attackers carried out their operation in a commando-style manner, terrifying residents in the early hours of Monday. In Anambra State, we also mourn the loss of two police officers who were killed in a bandit attack. We still remember the painful incident in which armed individuals targeted three schools—Community Grammar School, Yawota Baptist Nursery and Primary School, and L.A. Primary School in the Ahoro-Esinle Community (Oriire Local Government Area near Ogbomoso)—and kidnapped 46 people, including 39 students, seven teachers, and the school principal. On the same day, between 48 and 51 pupils and students in the Mussa Community (Askira-Uba Local Government Area) were abducted by suspected Boko Haram insurgents. The victims, who included young children from nursery classes as well as primary and secondary school students, were taken on May 15, 2026, and have now remained in captivity for two weeks. Meanwhile, amid all these tragic developments, we politicians remain consumed by the next election, paying far more attention to political ambitions than to the safety and well-being of our children and fellow citizens. In a nation that is not at war, the ongoing insecurity that endangers schoolchildren signifies a profound and serious challenge. -PO

How can you start your statement with two big lies and expect to be taken seriously Eke? This was Igbo culture as recently as the 1960s so your “over 200 years” statement is a LIE. This was documented in every part of Igboland so your “not a mainstream thing” statement is also a LIE. I get it that you are a Christian and like most Igbo Christians you want to edit the culture to be compatible with your beliefs and Christian morals, but let us refrain from lying in historical conversations.

This has not been Igbo culture for over 200 years and even back then it was not a mainstream thing. It was a way of creating a redress option when infidelity happens or when two people are unable to sexually satisfy each other but they want to remain married. It fell out of fashion more than 200 years ago and is definitely not Igbo culture today. The past is a foreign country. We don't live there.

I managed to install a small solar system with one 100Ah battery for my personal use. Since my neighbors found out that I have solar, they usually flood my room to charge their devices. One person will come with five phones, two power banks, and three torch lights, and others come with similar things. So I told them that my solar system cannot carry all those gadgets, including my own devices. One of the women among them started insulting me. She said it was because she is not my girlfriend. I have never asked her out before, and she is even married, living with her husband and two kids. So this morning, I saw her coming out of her apartment. I greeted her, but she just looked at me and started laughing. Please, what does that mean? I'm confused😥

@hisroaryoutube We can do better, we can attack the game like monsters, but we live in a country where we don't have something as simple as electricity, I know how locked in I want to be but every day I rarely get up to 3hrs of electricity, the country we live in is a dream killer, terrible.
