Feels like a lot of people have been echoing the idea of signing Bichette and Bregman. That’d put them around the $300 MM mark for the Luxury Tax. In a perfect world, I’d love it, but right now going past $264 MM seems unlikely. No indication they’d even consider it.

@latheredlipsy @Jared_Carrabis Salary Floor or Cap is debatable. However, the players need to live up to their contract or risk contract renegotiation after set times have passed. Guaranteed contracts should be Limited guaranteed like a probation period. Earn it or you get reduced pay.

While I love the fire from Bryce here, I’m ultimately left with a feeling of dread over how ugly these CBA negotiations are going to be and just how many games we’re going to have taken from us when the time comes.

Truthfully don't understand those that are angry the Rafael Devers conversation is still taking place. What else did you expect with this kind of deal? It hasn't even been a full 5 days yet and you're about to face him this weekend. This will be discussed for years to come, just like the Mookie deal. So, you say that "consumption is growing" yet viewership according to Nielson is down like 40% in the last decade. Are you saying that other forms of media are picking up slack for that decline? As far as the nba, as you know, and are arguing in bad faith, excluding the nfl , we have outperformed the other pro sports leagues, except when their 2 biggest market teams play each other. And the business world sees the difference as well IHRT, the company that owns your syndicator and airs your show , and Cumulus, the company you want to carry you in Dallas, and I’m guessing airs the show in some markets , are mostly oriented towards right leaning radio, podcasts and digital media, TOGETHER, they have a market cap less than what a bunch of nba players will get in contracts this summer. Individually. I guess you want to think you are the Steph or LeBron of radio? Why can’t you carry your “teams “ to rating success ? Declining revenues, declining ratings for the companies that own those 555 affiliates. You sure it’s not you ?

@Bearded_Exile You’d rather go for it early which is fine. But the risk of that is missing it and the game being over and that’s exactly what happened. The team sucks either way and didn’t score the rest of the game so it doesn’t even matter.

Patriots should have just taken the extra point. Odds of them getting multiple stops and multiple scores this late in the game were way lower than just one stop and one TD with the 2-pt conversion. This is such a dumb team.
