Something that many don't realize, Texas has it's own music. As I write this, I'm listening to Josh Abbott band, of my longtime favorites. In fact, we really have two: Texas music (or Texas country) and Tejano. I don't know a lot of Tejano (not quite my scene) but Texas music is a treat, something that if you haven't heard and miss what music used to be, you should give it a shot. It is generally referred to as Texas Country, as it has it's roots as a rebellious counter to Nashville, but it has influences of pre-Nashpop, Southern Rock, Blues, the aforementioned Tejano (which does bleed over... one of my favorite is Rancho Grande by Roger Creager) Texas country artists tend to be independent or part of localized labels. These men and women are true troubadours, writing and singing their art while traveling from town to town. The sound varies as much as their background, some being straight up country and some being rock and roll. They work hard and play harder. The life they chose is rough, consisting of constantly travelling around our state (and further) with lonely nights punctuated by bright lights and loud crowds. They are true to their art and self, singing what they want and not what some producer in Nashville feels will get them on the top100. If you want some music that is as Authentic as our BBQ... Give it a shot. You'll be glad you did, especially when you explore enough to find those that fit your ear... they may be diamonds in the rough to the rest of the world, but you just might find a jewel that has a fire you never expected to see.

@TheQuartering You expect X to be rational? Especially on your level? Hell, I get hell from the village idiots pretty regularly and my core group is much closer knit than yours (just because of size)

Too many of the younger ones complain about money even they constantly eat out This beat the ever living tar out of any of the local joints for a fraction of the price. 2 8oz Wagyu patties $5 2 brioche buns $2 Jamaican jerk seasoning negligible Ridiculous cheese $7 Costco fries $1 Holy Cow seasoning on fries negligible Two comey zeroes $1 My wife added veggies to her burger for less than a buck. Now, I went full stupid with the cheese on this, but totally worth it Total cost for both of us? $16 and could have been $5 if I didn't over do the cheese Granted, it was nearly $24 because Beretta was eyeing my burger pretty hardcore

As it should be I'm tired of glorifying stuff that doesn't matter in the long run. It's time we go back to exalting the family over accomplishments. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to take anything away from his win but he could stop playing golf tomorrow and it wouldn't change much. However, if he tried to stop being a dad tomorrow... he's changing multiple lives for the worse.

@TJH314 @Tsizzle244 You've already proven that you are here to either just "debate" or are here with bad faith discussion. Show me otherwise and I'll actually engage

@SecondAmendment @Tsizzle244 Can I get a substantive response? Is Flock a private entity or is it the government? Having a lot of government customers does not make a private entity the government.

"Conservatives Split on Flock Cameras" I really don't see how that should be a thing. I do not care if they "reduce crime" and the argument of "if you weren't doing anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about" is some of the stankiest Orwellian BS that I've ever heard. We should not live in constant surveillance. And while we have cameras everywhere now, they are not owned and maintained by a central group. While I don't actively support tearing them down, I am not upset about it either.

"ShOoTiNg An AnImAl WiTh A SeMiAuTo Is BrUtAl AnD wIlL sHrEd ThE AnImAl" I so love reading gun twitter. Sears & Roebuck sold these in 1908, high power semiauto rifles with detachable magazines. This is OLD tech, and 223's do not shred animals, ya doof.

@BumpstockBarbie to more violence. i also dont 100% agree with having an assault rifle in most cases. for hunting its too brutal and can shred whatever animal you’re hunting and having an automatic gun for self defense just seems overkill in my personal opinion. one of those things i feel

@SecondAmendment Ehh, because of that the ex didn't get anything in the divorce. The house was mine, her car was mine, all the stuff, my business, and all the money I made was mine. My new girl is nicer, better looking, younger, and she seems to genuinely like seeing me happy. 🤷

Life hack: When you ask your wife what she wants for dinner... The invariable and incredibly annoying response is "I don't care" or "whatever you want" Of course they DO care So the moment your wife starts with that, just pick places you know they won't want And follow through with it You'll be amazed at just how quickly that stops

@SecondAmendment The guessing game works on my new one, my ex wife was always a chore though. I stopped asking and just made what I wanted if I was cooking and eventually she started sleeping with other guys. Worked out OK for me

@Mrgunsngear This is one of many of the "sure on paper' things in the gun world Look, if I'm sighting in a long range precision rifle, does it affect things? Not much, but sure. And I'll go through my break in procedure Will it be worth it on a $650 AR? Nah
