@tvippolis I agree on other coaches being an upgrade. But the execution of the search to this point has been a joke. Amazing that Bubba, and his replacement, get paid the huge money for such incompetence

UNC has already struck out on 3 of its top 4 targets.
There’s a lot of coaches that, when at Carolina, are still a major upgrade over Hubert Davis.

@unc_zone They probably don’t have a clue. Incompetence rules with Bubba and his replacement. They are an embarrassment to not have had a deal locked up with someone via back channels. Instead Lloyd played them to get a better deal. Doubt that the chancellor cares as he is a Duke guy.

Sources: UNC offered Tommy Lloyd a top-two contract in CBB. Lloyd took less to stay, but will still bump up to $7.2 million starting next season. Staff pool also will get a huge bump + incentives brought back to their contract structures. He'll also no longer report to the AD.
