Do you really think they made this console for people with a $3k PC?
Why would they sell PCs to PC players? This is a build that will let a regular joe relax and play most games from the comfort of their couch.

Sure, it's expensive. Consoles are cheaper, but you're locked to Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo, they make up the revenue in game sales and subscriptions. This isn't a console, but a full fledged PC, no vendor locks. Steam doesn't sell it at a loss and make up revenue on sales.
