I 100% understand why the club don’t want to pay for Elliot Anderson. His fee is too high, and he hasn’t prioritised us. But we should be going for the next best option. We’ve already signed Ederson, so signing Mamadou Sangaré doesn’t make much sense. It feels like the easy route because INEOS don’t want to spend money. We all hate the Glazers, but even they knew better than this. You have to go for the top players who fit the profile, or at least strike a balance between marquee signings and cheaper options.
