@borrowed_ideas Share a lot of thoughts here on inflections and duration. I've learned that market has very hard time interpreting 2nd derivative of growth.

Market is mostly an extrapolation machine. Whatever that’s happening now is assumed to continue in a straight line. Market is generally right in direction but wrong in duration. I am part of the market. Whenever I bemoan the market, I’m also probably belittling part of myself.

It’s impossible to vicariously learn what it feels to go through bear market. First hand experience is required. Force yourself to imagine bear markets during bull markets, and vice versa. Equanimity in all periods is not a suggestion, but a requirement for longevity in market

In reflecting, two accounts I really miss are @BluegrassCap and @WTCM3. Worth trolling through their accounts to see how FinTwit used to function vs. how it does today.

@buccocapital @PythiaR @WTCM3 Today its very ad hominem + short term. But market environment has gotten incre more difficult (in defense of current fintwit). Fwiw WTCM & I have had some cocktails together, &both landed in shops we don't deserve to be at. I became a crossover investor & s/he became a Garpy PM.
