I'm reading the freaking Wikipedia page on *Value, Price and Profit,* and I'm already not really grasping it that well. Not to mention whatever the heck the labor theory of value is supposed to mean. It doesn't seem as basic as, "More hard work = higher price of fine china."

Do any Marx-heads have good resources on basic intros to Marx's thinking? Not Marxism as later movements (like Leninism, MLism, orthodox, revisionist, blah blah blah), but just him and Engels (as far as such a thing is practical, anyway).

@MothCathedral 6. i don't idolise "leaders" as if we had any. we believe only the working class has power to liberate itself and it's not something "led" . if you make the working class dependent on any leader/institution you will fail to achieve a free and autonomous communist society

@MothCathedral 5. without a proper liberatory framework, you can have a dozen more revolutions but regardless of where it is, as long as statists hijack it, they will reformulate a hierarchical model of society which inevitably translates from political to the economic and recreate classes

my thoughts on elections are: -there's no harm in voting -one vote has miniscule weight (in hungary 1/6 million who vote) -election results will never bring liberation but not all parties are equally bad -don't waste your time on campaigning for parliamentarians

@UlyssesBungalow @FreedomFlaming0 yeah but campaigning sucks and voting is easy. to win over a vote you'd have to spend a lot of effort and time better spent on anarchist prefiguration. but simply voting is pretty effortless for me not to mention mandatory

@BodyWoOrgans @FreedomFlaming0 Voting without campaigning will not lead to any desired outcome. As a singular vote is ineffective, if you want a vote to be effective, it must be a mass turnout, and the time spent on that just to make life slightly more bearable ain't worth it when we can build a new life rn.

@UlyssesBungalow yeah this is true but I'm not an inuit and i can sustain myself without harming others. it wouldn't make sense to ask people to go vegan who couldn't do so due to geographic or health restrictions

@BodyWoOrgans I consider meat consumption to be dubious in morality as I'd argue that the morality of meat depends largely on context, I would not consider the Inuit to be immoral for hunting seal in their Arctic home to sustain themselves.
