This is where opportunity lives for agencies. It’s a race to the bottom for some, and a race to the top for others!
David Roberts@recap_david

SERVICE-AS-A-SOFTWARE. That is the real opportunity for 90% of us. I keep watching smart people pour months into building beautiful UI applications that Anthropic and OpenAI are going to absorb in a single product update. It will feel ARCHAIC in two years that we used to click through user interfaces to navigate databases and complete tasks. Agents just do it. One prompt. Done. 90% of the entire application layer is going to get eaten over the next decade. The dashboards. The forms. The CRUD. All of it. Where does that leave you? Exactly where the money is. Service-as-a-software. E.g. An ad agency that bakes its winning playbooks into AI systems and serves 1,000 clients with the quality they used to give 10. An IP law firm that encodes decades of expertise into AI skill files and sells legal services at infinite scale with near-zero marginal cost. A consulting firm. An accounting practice. A creative studio. Pick your vertical. The backend is AI. The frontend is your expertise packaged as a service. The moat is that YOU actually know what good looks like in your domain. You're not competing with OpenAI. You're competing with other service providers who are still doing everything manually. That's not a hard fight to win. Encode your knowledge. Automate your delivery. Sell the service. Scale infinitely. The technology gets commoditized. The person who knows how to USE it doesn't.

We have been compressing marketing agency services from 4-6 weeks to 3 hours during our latest ai powered pilots. There will be brands that hire us as a growth partner just for this engine. But the traditional agency model is going to be disrupted in a big way. Stay tuned.

Automation is not about replacing people. It is about protecting your best people from low leverage work. Most founders automate for the wrong reason. They want to cut costs. Experienced operators automate to increase focus. Here is the shift: 1. Automate repetition 2. Systemize decision trees 3. Elevate human judgment If a task follows the same steps every time, it should not live in someone’s head. Onboarding emails. Lead routing. Client status updates. Internal handoffs. Reporting. These are not “culture.” They are workflows. When you automate and systemize them, three things happen: Your top performers stop answering the same questions. Your delivery becomes consistent. Your leaders finally have time to think. And thinking is the real constraint in most companies. Strategy. Partnerships. Offer refinement. Retention. Expansion. That is where your best people create outsized value. If your smartest operator is still chasing invoices or manually tagging leads, you do not have a people problem. You have a systems problem. Automation should not reduce headcount. It should increase leverage. The question is simple: Are your best people building the future of the company, or babysitting the present?

Would totally love a chance to meet and learn what you're doing. Automated digital sales and marketing is something I will integrate into a couple side-hustle projects I am working on. My main business has a very complicated traffic acquisition model, where agents could make a huge difference, but we're just getting our legs under us here. The more I can understand the better. Beer would be on me and we could also do it in Barney's Tavern, my home thinking/drinking/chilling spot in my garage

1/ If you're feeling anxious about the economy right now, you're paying attention. Something fundamental is shifting. Not just markets. The entire structure of where value comes from and how money works. This thread is for entrepreneurs, parents, and anyone trying to protect what they've built. 2) Two forces are converging: AI is about to restructure which jobs create value. White collar, middle management, frontline tasks - all facing displacement at a speed we've never seen. And the monetary system itself is fracturing. Look at the volatility. Silver dropped 20% yesterday. Last week it climbed 30% in a day. Gold swinging wildly. Capital is looking for somewhere to go. Historically stable assets are in price discovery mode, and Bitcoin is in a war with two camps - those who look at it as an "investment asset" and those who understand it's a technical protocol that will soon be engineered into almost everything we do. A base layer like the Internet itself (another protocol). 3/ Here's what's actually happening: The old playbook - work hard, save in dollars, trust the institutions - is breaking down. Inflation eats your savings. Banks can freeze your accounts. Governments print money to solve problems, which creates new ones. This isn't conspiracy. It's math. 4/ So what do you actually do? First: understand that we're in a transition, not a collapse. Transitions create opportunity for people who see them clearly. Second: start asking better questions about where you store value. Not "what's going up?" but "what can't be debased, frozen, or taken?" 5/ This is why people are moving into sound money assets. Gold and silver. Land. And yes, Bitcoin. Not as speculation. As insurance. Bitcoin specifically offers something new: true self-custody. No bank. No government. No counterparty who can say no. Decentralized, trustless, permissionless. Yours. 6) I'm not telling you to sell everything and buy Bitcoin tomorrow. I'm telling you to understand what's happening: - AI is repricing which humans create value - Equity markets are in trouble unless you're in AI or hard assets - The monetary system is being questioned globally - Sound money is in price discovery mode 7/ When markets panic, loose hands sell and informed hands buy. That's always been true. It's just happening faster now. The question isn't whether this shift is coming. It's whether you're positioned for it. 8/ For my family, the answer is simple: Every dollar I can afford to save goes into assets that can't be printed, debased, or controlled by someone else. Self-custodied. Sovereign. Not because I'm a pessimist. Because I'm a realist who wants to protect what matters. 9/ If you're an entrepreneur or a parent watching all this unfold, my honest advice: - Learn about sound money (Bitcoin, gold, why they matter) - Reduce exposure to jobs and sectors AI will displace - Build skills and assets that stay valuable in the new economy - Don't wait for permission or certainty The transition is already happening. 10/ This isn't financial advice. It's a wake-up call from someone who's built and sold companies, watched industries get disrupted, and learned to read the patterns. The people who thrive through transitions are the ones who see them early and act with intention. You have more agency than you think.

GIRLFRIEND: "you're a professional texter making $40k/month" she's not wrong most businesses waste: - $10k/month on ads - $60k/year on sales reps - $5k/month on agencies linkedin has 60 million ceos you can DM directly problem: personalized messages take 15 min each my AI does it in 3 seconds: - finds prospects - researches them - writes personalized DM - sends 1,000+/month automatically 31% reply rate vs 3% industry 20-40 calls/month $700k in 2 years giving away: → video walkthrough → AI prompts → message templates → automation setup comment "OUTBOUND" must be following she still thinks i just text 😂

The mechanics compensation is tied to how much service work they find…and do, as long as that is the model - I won’t be going to dealerships EVER! At least some Private mechanics don’t gauge people, if you find an honest one hold them close. A dealership once told me I had to replace a clutch cylinder along with the clutch, I asked them if the clutch cylinder was broken and they said “if we’re replacing the clutch we have to do the cylinder too”. Called a mechanic friend and he said absolutely not. I called them on it, they replaced the clutch only and…surprise I drove the car for another 5 years without issue and sold it later. Crooks in more ways than one, everyone hates buying cars from Dealerships, NM servicing.

Ever felt like your success was a fluke? Like one day, someone’s going to see you, or rather, see through you, and say ...“You don’t belong here.” That’s imposter syndrome. And (as much as you’d like to think so) it does not disappear with success. I’ve seen leaders running thriving companies still feel like someone is going to uncover them eventually. But here’s what I tell them: ✅ You’re NOT an imposter for growing into new challenges. ✅ You’re supposed to feel stretched — that’s what growth feels like! ✅ You were made for this, be yourself...and a little humility is a good thing! Doubting your decisions and yourself isn’t a sign of incompetence. It’s a reminder you care about doing things right, self reflection and continuing to grow. It’s a GOOD thing! Imposter syndrome, self doubt, isn’t a signal to stop — it’s a signal to #KeepGoing . What’s one moment recently when you felt like a fraud — and kept moving anyway? #Leadership #Entrepreneurship #GrowthMindset #MercadoGrowthPartners #ImposterSyndrome

The riskiest thing you can do is have a job. You give your 9-to-5, your weekends, your soul to a company that replaces you with a line of code or a budget cut. These companies preach “we’re a family” until the bottom line gets tight or when they find a optimization that can cut an entire department. You’re just a line item to them. Stop believing that the company you work for cares about your interests. They only care because YOU are making THEM money. They bet on your skills, your brain, and your time because you are valuable…but only until they find a cheaper replacement. Instead...bet on YOU. Bet on YOUR skills. Bet on YOUR brain. You should realize by now that “job security” is bullshit. You want real security? Own something. A business, a cash-flowing asset, a $$ stream nobody can take away from you. That is real security and real freedom. x.com/RobertMSterlin…

He is a high level influencer. Factually. Maybe spend less energy telling others how to be great and get your own followers up by DOING it better, not tearing someone else down to feel good. I’m saying this with kindness I can assure you! Look in the mirror & take responsibility.

@Boetalks @thesigmamindset I get you but he’s supposed to be this high-level influencer. He talks in these great generalizations like it’s a revelation. I love gaining inspiration from doubters but your purpose and inner being is what’s going to keep you working every day. No days off. If he wanted to..
