GOOD NEWS 🚨 Tesla’s robo-taxis are showing some serious safety upgrades, according to Morgan Stanley analyst Andrew Percoco. Reviewing the latest data, Percoco noted: “Amidst what has been an intentionally cautious rollout in Austin, we have observed a significant improvement in accident rates.” To put that into perspective: in late 2025, Tesla's robo-taxis averaged an incident every 50,000 miles. Today, they've stretched that gap to over 150,000 miles between incidents. He points out that while the robo-taxi business is still too small to impact Tesla's bottom line this year, what investors really care about right now is this trajectory of improvement. Percoco has a Hold rating on Tesla stock with a price target of $415.

Turning a Cybertruck into a lunar rover is a gloriously mad idea! One that could actually work with the right engineering. Swap the tires for metallic mesh wheels, wrap the entire vehicle in multi-layer insulation and radiators to survive 300-degree temperature swings, harden electronics against radiation, and seal every seam against that razor-sharp regolith dust. Add solar arrays or an RTG for power through the long nights, then strip non-essentials to shave mass for launch and range. What starts as a stainless-steel Earth truck becomes a rugged, autonomous Moon buggy. Elon, if you're listening: the aesthetic payoff would be worth every vacuum-rated bolt. 🚀

I appreciate your passion for addressing the challenges we face right here on Earth. Concerns like yours are valid and reflect a deep care for humanity's immediate needs. Yet this perspective echoes the voices of those who once opposed ocean voyages centuries ago. They argued we should solve problems on land before risking the unknown, warning that explorers would only spread disease and pursue selfish gain. History shows instead that those voyages expanded knowledge, trade, and opportunity in ways that ultimately lifted societies, even as they brought real difficulties. Space exploration follows a similar path. It drives innovation that improves life on our planet today, from satellite technology to medical advances, while inspiring us to think beyond our current limits. Saving humanity has always involved both tending to home and reaching outward with courage. We can pursue both without contradiction. 🌚

How about we fix the shit here first before we go jetting off out into space spreading our diseases and dysfunction. All you billionaires are really looking to do is get up there and exploit whatever you can find to make yourselves richer. Saving humanity doesn't require going off the planet to do it.

Introduction…This Is My Final Word on the X Shitshow Listen carefully. I have dissected, eviscerated, and buried this subject with surgical ferocity. What you are about to read is not another fleeting rant tossed into the digital void. It is the autopsy report…cold, precise, and unforgiving…on a platform that seduced millions with promises of liberation only to deliver a more refined, more insidious form of control. This is my final word on X. I will not return to this corpse. I will not feed the beast another syllable of my attention. The chapter is closed with a slam that echoes. For years I watched the contradictions metastasize…the grand proclamations of free speech absolutism colliding violently with selective enforcement that protects the powerful and punishes the independent. The theatrical commitments to transparency rotting under layers of algorithmic opacity. The endless beta excuses masking a stubborn refusal to fix what any serious observer could see was broken by design…lists weaponized as harassment tools, intellectual theft rewarded by the very architecture of the platform, creators treated as serfs in someone else’s coliseum. I stayed longer than I should have, hoping the rhetoric might one day match the reality. It did not. It never will. X is not evolving toward the noble town square it promised. It is calcifying into something far more cynical…a spectacle engine optimized for heat, not light…for engagement, not enlightenment…for the comfort of the connected, not the sovereignty of the sovereign mind. And so I leave. Not with quiet disappointment, but with lethal clarity. What follows is the complete indictment…unsparing, data-grounded, and intellectually ruthless. It explains exactly why serious voices are walking away in droves. It exposes the structural failures that no amount of community notes or blue-check bravado can conceal. And it points, unapologetically, toward superior alternatives where writers actually own their words, their audiences, and their intellectual labor. This is not rage for rage’s sake. This is precision venom…delivered by a mind that has studied the machine from the inside and found it wanting. Read it. Absorb it. Then decide for yourself whether you will keep feeding a platform that lectures the world on freedom while practicing selective feudalism. As for me…I am already gone. You will find the real work on Substack…unfiltered, unthrottled, and uncompromising. Depth over dopamine. Ownership over exposure. Clarity over chaos. This is my final word on X. The rest of my words belong to better ground. And you're goddamn right I'm fucking pissed. I feel like I am being forced to leave behind many who I love very much but for integritys sake I can't and will not, continue to feed this beast. It's drained the life out of me and countless others. Grey out. open.substack.com/pub/lhgrey78/p…

It was a clean, controlled ocean splashdown. The vehicle flipped vertically, completed its landing burn, and safely touched down before tipping and exploding, achieving 100% of its test objectives exactly as planned, including the explosion Yet, the legacy media like The Guardian deliberately choose headlines like "SpaceX rocket bursts into flames" to farm clicks, making it look like a failure when it's in fact the complete opposite, all for cheap sensationalism

It is not just a sliver. Below are just some of the facts that support my position. Please also keep in mind the stats below are from 2022-2023 and the situation has only gotten worse. I have personally observed this in Charlotte! Key Figures for Major Metros (Primarily as % of Single-Family Rentals) highlight these patterns: Highest-concentration markets: - Atlanta: ~25% of SFRs (or ~10% of all rentals); one of the highest. - Jacksonville, FL: ~21% of SFRs. - Charlotte, NC: ~18% of SFRs. - Tampa, FL: ~15% of SFRs. - Phoenix: ~15% of SFRs. Top 20 MSAs (by institutional SFR holdings): Average ~12.4% of single-family rentals (and ~4% of all rentals). These metros hold the vast bulk (~77-80%) of institutional SFR properties. Broader view: In the 20 largest MSAs for institutional activity, large investors own ~13% of SFRs on average in some breakdowns.

People want to live in North Carolina, and our housing market is not keeping up. We can and must do more to increase housing supply and strengthen the construction workforce that will build it. Today I signed an executive order directing a whole-of-government approach and hired a Senior Advisor for Housing Policy to lead this work to make more homes of all types more accessible and affordable for all North Carolinians.

I'm headed to Tahoe in a few weeks to be a pacer for my daughter-in-law (who completed the Yeti 100 in 2024 and, earlier this month, the Hellbender 100) during the Tahoe 200. I was a pacer during both of those events. Would appreciate any advice you might have that could be helpful for our upcoming adventure.

Forced upon her when she was an impressionable 12 years old -by the "educators" we are supposed to entrust with our children! Might want to go read before you put shit like this up. Everything I said is true. The summary judgement with +300 pages of EVIDENCE is out on eCourt. It was filed in November. That's SIX MONTHS AGO. NO RESPONSE. If you have a case, let's go to the jury. They won't. Guess why? I'll skip to the end-she admitted in her deposition she did steal her employer's credit card and use it without authorization. She admitted she sent text messages before filing that said, "I don't want any money, I just to shut her up". She admitted she was a felon, according to the law in Florida. I'll accept your apology when you're done reading. And GFY.

A Reckoning with the Highest Court I have just published what may be the most unflinching autopsy yet performed on the single most corrosive appointment to the United States Supreme Court in the modern era. In the essay below, titled “Ketanji Brown Jackson: The Worst Supreme Court Appointment in American History,” I trace, with forensic precision and without apology, the ideological fever dream that installed Justice Jackson not through constitutional merit but through the explicit racial-and-gender quota of a desperate administration. From her formative years steeped in grievance ideology, through her systematic leniency toward child predators on the district bench, to her dissents that openly subordinate the Fourteenth Amendment’s promise of colorblind equality to the therapeutic imperatives of equity and identity, the piece lays bare a jurisprudence that is not merely mistaken but pathological: a mind that dissolves law into sociology, history into perpetual victimhood, and justice into reparative redistribution. This is no partisan polemic. It is a philosophical and constitutional indictment rooted in the original public meaning of the text, the common-law tradition of Blackstone and the Founders, and the hard-won lessons of Reconstruction. Even Justice Amy Coney Barrett, paragon of intellectual charity, has found Jackson’s approach untenable, the collegial veneer cracking under the weight of an equity-driven vision that treats Article III as an obstacle rather than a limit. The stakes could not be higher. When a sitting Justice reframes the Constitution as an instrument of racial atonement rather than a charter of limited government and individual right, the American experiment itself is placed in mortal peril. The full essay is long, detailed, and unsparing...precisely as the subject demands. It draws on Jackson’s own words, her record, her dissents, and the historical record she so selectively ignores. I wrote it in the spirit of lethal clarity: not to inflame, but to illuminate the rot at the heart of progressive jurisprudence and to arm every reader with the intellectual ammunition required to defend the Republic against its quiet undoing. And because ideas this consequential must not be gated behind any paywall, the entire piece is free for all readers...subscribers and non-subscribers alike. Read it. Share it. Debate it. The survival of constitutional fidelity may well depend on how many Americans still possess the courage to look this pathology squarely in the eye and name it for what it is. The essay begins below. The truth, delivered without anesthesia, is rarely gentle. open.substack.com/pub/lhgrey78/p…

This has been a major issue for well over a decade! I worked at IBM for almost 20 years and was directly affected by this. Coerced into "mentoring" people I knew would replace Americans simply because they would accept lower wages. I recall vividly stepping off the elevator on a floor of the IBM office in Charlotte (not all too long before I left the company) and literally thought I was in the wrong place because the place was packed wall-to-wall with people from India.

For months I’ve been speaking to American tech workers forced to train their H-1B replacements, or told their jobs were being moved to India. I’ve now heard from whistleblowers from Google and FedEx describing the same pattern. Two-thirds of Silicon Valley tech workers are foreign born. There are now more Indian-born workers in Silicon Valley (23%) than California-born (18%). More than 70% of H1-B visas go to Indians.
GB News@GBNEWS

“I was told to train my Indian replacement.” “My whole team’s jobs were sent to India.” “Google outsourced my work to the Philippines.” @StevenEdginton speaks to American tech workers replaced by foreign labour due to the H1-B visa, and offshoring jobs to India.
