@Welbeast, I’m donating 80 more Arsenal shirts to your noble initiative to be given to only 80 lucky Ugandan Arsenal fans. Congratulations Arsenal fans on becoming the Premier League Champions. 🏆Thank you

@AntonyWalyaula @ps_lukwago @Esc_uganda @BukenyaLillian I would also suggest that candidates who pass the aptitude test but do not succeed at the oral stage should not be required to retake the aptitude test in the next recruitment cycle. They should proceed to the orals, especially considering that the aptitude is more demanding.

Sir,
If the policy of first come, first serve is adopted, then those we now call “old teachers” should have had the chance to serve during their energetic years. Leaving them out today not only degrades them but also undermines the dignity of the teaching profession. Imagine studying hard, qualifying as a teacher, and yet ending up as though you never saw a blackboard

I appreciate the Commission’s efforts in employing Ugandans. Yet, relying on aptitude tests to reduce applicant numbers can be unfair. Would it not be more equitable to use criteria such as year of qualification or age, which recognize experience and long service? I have a friend who has applied several times without success; this year he is 49, and after this year he will clock 50 and may never apply again. What makes it even more disheartening is that one of his former students, who once struggled with poor test scores, is already serving as a headteacher. Surely this shows that aptitude tests alone cannot be the true measure of competence. A fairer procedure would ensure that dedication, experience, and loyalty are valued alongside academic ability. Na dis wald be yarabbi.

@ps_lukwago @AntonyWalyaula @Esc_uganda @BukenyaLillian I support the aptitude tests, but there appears to be a mismatch between the questions asked and the time given.

@AntonyWalyaula @Esc_uganda @BukenyaLillian Do you propose Government sh'ld appoint older teachers first, not young ones?? or those who qualified earlier??
That means employing teachers who are close to retirement at the expense of young, capable and energetic teachers who still have a long service time a head of them.

@Mukwayaemmanuel @ps_lukwago @konstructivizm Even with the expansion of human intelligence, certain realities such as death remain unavoidable. Likewise, life on Earth is not infinite, a fact that reinforces the need for sustainability and foresight.
English

@ps_lukwago @konstructivizm Dr. Life on Earth isn’t infinite, but intelligence might be, if we learn to move beyond the limits of the Sun.🌍🤝
English

@ps_lukwago @konstructivizm A valid point. While Earth's lifespan is finite in cosmic terms, it also challenges us to advance science, sustainability, and possibly explore alternatives beyond our planet.
English

@konstructivizm Life on Earth seems not, and cannot be an infinite event.
