Two of Indiana's finest small school quarterbacks are getting a ton of attention during the current recruiting cycle. Cooper Dold of Class 3A Twin Lakes and Bryor Carmichael of 1A Knightstown are two of the top pure passers to emerge from the Hoosier State, and both are being hotly pursued by coaches and scouts from both in and out of Indiana. Tale of the Tape Cooper Dold 2027 Twin Lakes (10-3 in 2025) 6-4, 190 2025 Stats Pass / 182/282 2653 yards 64.5% Comp 29TDs/11Ints Rush / 89 carries/390yds/8TDs Career Stats Pass / 388/646 5281 yds 60% Comp 50TDs/23Ints Rush / 118 carries/406yds/8TDs Bryor Carmichael Knightstown (6-5 in 2025) 6-5, 220 2025 Stats Pass / 152/229 2629 yds 58.7% Comp 26TDs /9Ints Rush / 13/-17/1TD Career Stats Pass 345/589 5753yards 58.6% Comp 55TD / 20Ints Rush / 35/18/3TDs What do the recruiters see? * Carmichael has the bigger and stronger frame of the two, and will likely fill out into the 235-240LB range, NFL size for a drop back style QB * While not a true dual threat QB, Dold has had more success running the ball and is shiftier and more quick and mobile on his feet * Dold is long and lanky, and projects to grow into a 210-215lb frame. * Based on stats, Dold has a slight accuracy advantage, completing nearly 65% of his throws as a JR as compared to 59% for Carmichael. * TD to interception ratios are comparable. * Dold faced stronger competition in Class 3A, which included a run to the regional round of the 2025 tournament. Final Synopsis: If you are looking for a pure big bodied drop back QB to fit into a pro style offense, Carmichael is your man. If you desire more of a dual threat QB whose primary asset is his accurate throwing arm, Dold is the guy. Both appear to have fine futures ahead at the next level. Dold photo By J.
