✨ Finding Your Child in the Challenges – with Principal Roz McFeeters ✨ At Hill Croft School, the staff are privileged to support 245 incredible children — and Principal Roz McFeeters believes they are “quite possibly the most amazing humans on the planet.” 💛 Every day, the staff witness remarkable moments of connection, courage, curiosity, and joy. But Roz and the team also know that for many parents, these moments can sometimes be hidden behind the challenges of communication and daily life. That’s why, as a school, they decided to flip the lens on how they support families. Instead of asking parents to look harder… they invited them to play. 🎈 Shared play sessions opened up a new way for parents to see what the staff see: •children guiding, •children understanding, •children communicating in ways beyond speech, •children showing their personalities, preferences, and strengths. Through play, parents were able to notice the subtle, beautiful ways their children express themselves — and rediscover connection in the moments that matter most. 🌟 10 outstanding leaders from Controlled Schools joined our inaugural #Lead10 event — a space designed to showcase innovative practice and strengthen collaboration across our sector. 📢 Presentation 6 Spotlight: We were delighted to welcome Dr. Darren Mornin, Principal of Limavady High School, who shared an inspiring presentation titled: “Education Without Walls: Connecting Schools, Strengthening Communities — Limavady’s Journey.” Dr. Mornin highlighted the transformative impact of Shared Education and the significance of becoming Northern Ireland’s first shared campus school — a milestone reached after 50 years of sharing. Education Minister Paul Givan visited @HardyMemorialPS in Richhill this morning to meet with Principal Elaine Anderson, the Board of Governors, staff and pupils. During a school assembly, the Minister enjoyed a performance from the choir and presented certificates to pupils for their achievements in science and literacy 🎉
Primary seven pupils from St Mary’s PS, Greenlough, travelled to Gracehill PS for a jam-packed day of activity as part of their PEACEPLUS ASPIRE partnership.
