@ghostedghostly @Marionete04 It is a good and valid way to play GTA IV. Just not ideal in my opinion.
Playing it on Xbox 360 hardware or PC with Fusion Fix installed is the best way to experience the game.
The BC version is better than the PS3 version and miles better than vanilla PC, I'll give you that.

Finished Replaying Grand Theft Auto IV
For a long time questioned the glaze for this but after replaying it, I can see why and it became my favorite GTA game even overthrowing san andreas, Niko bellic is a really great character, though it has some jank, still a great game

@ghostedghostly @Marionete04 I mean if a bug that was caused due to high frame rates causes a game to be almost impossible to complete (the final mission mind you). I'd say that's a pretty big deal.
Not to mention that the older GTA titles has tons of issues with high frame rates in general.

Over a decade later, people still debate whether Assassin's Creed Unity was the last true AC game or simply a disaster, but most ignore the fact that its tech was years ahead of its time. Take how the system handles NPCs for example. It's not just about a bunch of random NPCs popping in. The engine is constantly calculating your distance to every person in the street to swap how they act. Up close, they're "real NPCs" who react to what you're doing but as you get further away, their behavior merges into one giant, simplified group to save performance. I built this visualization to show exactly how the system handles NPCs in real time.

I also highly recommend playing the DLCs for GTA IV. They're some of the best expansions ever conceived for a video game and makes GTA IV a fantastic full package.

@BigBossAwesome @paparpg I have zero faith in it. Open world crime sandboxes are incredibly expensive to make and if you're not Rockstar it's basically become impossible to make a good one.
And besides, the reboot completely tarnished the series' reputation so it's not like it would sell well.
