Don't anthropomorphize animals. They hate when you do that. Give your pet a pat for me.

@bigidiotgirl So what you're saying is, you don't know where Sandwich is. It's a town name that doubles as a portable lunch option. You're missing out.

@shooter4_22 Don't forget about 2021. It seems to me like they're even at a win apiece head-to-head in the tourney.

@Cwebb3455 @LukeT39 And people can think a person is a dick for the opinions that they share. It doesn't mean they're sensitive. If I came to your workplace to give you a performance review and called you Chuck the Schmuck because you were bad at your job it wouldn't make me less of a dick.

@CapedCodder @LukeT39 He was a columnist at that point he was there to put out his opinions. He hadn't covered the team as a beat guy since the late 80s. He was in the locker room alot because he was willing to take the heat for his opinions but writing his opinion is the job of a columnist

@pacersfeverfan @stealer1 @tallawah12 In the full video Whittaker had her arm wrapped around AR's back while they were battling for position. Then AR with the jersey tug, an elbow from #45 and both of them seek out contact down the floor. This was a nothing sequence that people are desperate to make a big deal.

@Cwebb3455 @LukeT39 Boston media has always been toxic. It will always be toxic. If the guy with the mic enters media scrums to rile up players to get a soundbite, don't be surprised when people think he's a twat.

@Cwebb3455 @LukeT39 Dan was there to cover the team, not make himself part of the story. It's not sensitivity. I don't care if he coined those nicknames. You're acting like people's distaste for him wasn't without reason. He comported himself like a dick so people thought he was a dick.

@Cwebb3455 @LukeT39 Is your question, was giving players derogatory nicknames "negativity or reality?" I have no issue with being critical. But Dan routinely toed the line between personal attacks and critique of on-field play. Those are monikers of a shock jock, not a professional journalist.

@CapedCodder @LukeT39 Pedro is probably my favorite baseball player but he could be a diva. Carl Everett was fun to watch and had a great half year here and was good overall but he was known for not believing in dinosaurs and beating his kids. Is it negativity or reality?

@mercurialblonde @DayDreamThis @DBGyt_ Draft picks that don't hit are different than "a player who isn't ready." You can't argue a point with the benefit of hindsight. Charli Collier averaged 19 and 11.3 before her draft. She wasn't a prototypical 1.1 but teams would absolutely draft that player.

So the #1 pick in the WNBA draft makes close to 700k in the new CBA... So you NEED to hit on top picks otherwise it could be a disaster... But they also can't be too good as to not make an All-WNBA team to trigger the early supermax and ruin flexibility???

@mercurialblonde @DayDreamThis @DBGyt_ What draft would feature a player who wasn't ready for the W after four years in college or international team play? No team is going to forfeit their draft rights without some form of compensation. They would at minimum trade down or out and teams with cap space would bite.

@mercurialblonde @DayDreamThis @DBGyt_ Where did the "player who isn't ready" and "bad draft" qualifiers come from? The conversation was about a cap-strapped team with the top pick not wanting to pay that player. A team would trade that asset for a vet min to a team that can afford to take a flyer on a project.

@Cwebb3455 @LukeT39 If your introduction to Dan Shaughnessy the media member was in the late 90s, he was needlessly negative. From "the Dominican Diva" to "Jurassic Carl," he was rage bait before social media. The CHB nickname stuck for a reason. I'm not speaking to the man as a person, though.

@LukeT39 @joonlee Shaugnessy as negative as he can be almost never does that. He wrote a book about how amazing the 80s Celtics are like 3 years ago and picked the Sox to win the division last year. He is definitely a contrarian but doesn't fall into the sports radio mode of negativity.

@DayDreamThis @DBGyt_ @mercurialblonde Yeah, no front office is forfeiting draft capital like that for nothing. They'd quicker flip the pick for future assets/a player on an attractive contract or package it to offload a bad contract to gain cap flexibility.

@valkyriesreport @mercurialblonde @DBGyt_ @DayDreamThis It's not a great comp because MLB is a different animal, but Brady Aiken was drafted #1 overall by the Astros in 2014 and refused a reduced contract offer after his physical. Bo Jackson also refused to sign after being drafted #1 in 1986. Those are players, not teams, though.

@itsbushwacker @_6signxxx It's not the case for most shootings? I'd love to see your evidence. How are minors obtaining the guns used in school shootings? The first parents charged in a school shooting case didn't occur until 2024, hundreds and hundreds of shootings and 25 years after Columbine.

@CapedCodder @_6signxxx Yea and those parents ignored obvious signs. Their actions did help facilitate those shootings and they should be charged. That’s not the case for most shooting though

@VKlumpii @niggacuntfuck @itsbushwacker @_6signxxx @_sorrengailll Colin Gray bought his son Colt a rifle for Christmas even though his son had been questioned by the police over school shooting threats. Colt used that rifle to kill two students and two teachers. Kids are often given (access to) guns by their parents. They should be liable.

@_6signxxx @_sorrengailll Really not the comparison you think it is. You’d have to prove those parents helped facilitate the kids actions or knew of the threat and willfully did nothing. In this man’s case, he allowed his son to drive underage without a license or supervision
