Nobody is stopping you from shutting down the country the way Tinubu did during GEJ. But you can’t do it. And I will tell you why. The shutdown of 2012 was the voice of Tinubu and the hand of America. It was only possible because it was an American intelligence psychological operation. Even GEJ warned you that time: America will know. America is not interested in regime change in your country this time. That’s why opposition candidates are not receiving American support or funds this time, except the ones being funded to oppose to the opposition. Nigerians celebrities are not receiving American money this time, including musicians to sing that kind of song Flavour sang in 2012, and the likes of Banky W for their relentless advocacy. The Civil Society Groups, including the Bring Back Our Girls, are not receiving money for any meaningful protest time. Influencers like Omojuwa as well, instead are actively supporting the current government. Rather than doing stupid comparisons, why not accept first that your country is being run by foreign powers. That way you can plan properly, and when you do summon the courage to shutdown the country, you will know exactly why you are shutting it down.
