$sofi Actually, if they're going to do that, they should do a synthetic authorization to buy back options and stock say 30 million shares in options and 70 million in shares. And spread it over a year.... they dont have to execute. That announcement alone would put a floor on the stock.. and if it doesn't put a floor. They can simply opportunisticly pick off shares and options and when it gets to 30 issue more shares and use the proceeds to execute the options and cancel singe if those shares or maybebalso hold some for stock based compensation

Here is why what John Thune did last night was so awful. Normally during a government shutdown you don't negotiate with the minority. It's "open the government and then we'll talk." John Thune signed off on the Dem demands and sent it to the house. Essentially, putting a gun to the House Republicans head forcing them to pass a bad bill. If the house rejects it, it becomes the GOP DHS shutdown. John Thune has betrayed the President, Republicans, and everyone who voted for Trump in 2024.
