"I am from Punjab, in India", this how I would communicate my national and local identity to any foreigner. It is not a very difficult thing to say or think. @diljitdosanjh

Diljit Dosanjh on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, He says I am from Punjab, Man proudly repped Punjab (as he should), talked about his roots, culture, music everything. But not once did he actually mention India. Not even in passing. If you are celebraty and appearing on a massive global platform, you would introduce yourself with your country and not only the state. Is this just strong regional pride or a very calculated branding move where "Punjab" is the identity he wants to push internationally? I have seen, it's becoming a pattern across his interviews. What's your view?

Wonder what she will sing

“I am from Punjab” When you know a global audience is going to watch you, you are not just representing Punjab, but India. Why are you ashamed of saying it proudly, @diljitdosanjh ??

So many angry Canadians these days
