Yes it’s possible to deflect. But I have shot many deer and it rips through deer bone and typically exits on line with entry wound. Never ever does the blood pour out of entrance wound. It’s the complete opposite. And the video released by college is a suppressed shot not anything close to what a 30-06 sounds like. It’s a boom that is unmistakable!

I'm not a hunter, so I don't have any experience with this. But from the looks of it, with the angle and so on, I would assume that the bullet entered the front of the neck and then hit the spine. Do you have any experience with this? What happens to the bullet when it hits the spine? Could the bullet pierce the spine or be deflected by it?
