@BrainAblaze To me, this is the same as someone saying they have absence seizures not convulsive and someone says "oh at least it's not a bad seizure" What? I'm sorry. Maybe I'm not bruised, but I feel mentally exactly the same after an absence as I do a tonic clonic. Same migraine.

We're sorry but hearing that your cat/dog also has #seizures may actually make us more skeptical that you understand what we, as humans with #epilepsy, go through. #EpilepsyAwareness

@BrainAblaze My last seizure I was having conversations with people only I could see, walked around my house, outside, locked the door and out to the road to meet my husband who was picking me up. All while blacked out and seizing.

@BrainAblaze My husband does a "race to end epilepsy" every year raising money for the epilepsy foundation of America. He designs a race car on iracing and races it. People get excited to donate because he puts their name on the car as well as those he knows fighting epilepsy Last years car!

@BrainAblaze I'm a nanny currently, but have been a preschool teacher the last 4 years. (I've only had one seizure in my time of caring for children and if was off work.)

@empressatlantis @BrainAblaze @EpilepsySocal I knew a lady who had a strong smell of apple pie before her seizures. She was at a basketball game and the strongest scent of freshly baked apple pie hit her and she had a seizure. So I think its totally possible to hear music before

@BrainAblaze This would only work if you don't have to take it at specific times. But I always have a water with me to bed and leave my pill container next to my bed. I take my meds right when I get to bed and when I wake up bc I have water right there I take them as soon as I wake up

@pr_chelsie @Andy76190188 @BrainAblaze Everyone is different, but I've never heard anything good about lamictal. Not that someone hasn't had a good experience I just haven't heard it. I personally did not like Topamax, but that's just me. Hopefully you can find something that works!!

@ChelseaAlowry @Andy76190188 @BrainAblaze I’ve been on Tegretol and topamax years ago and I don’t remember having any issues like I do with this lamictal. Thank you for sharing your experiences with the medication because I felt like it was just my body that was the issue taking the medicine.

@pr_chelsie @Andy76190188 @BrainAblaze I'm actually not on Lamictal anymore but I think my total dosage for the day was 875mg. I refused to take it any longer because of increased auras and horrible side effects so I am now on Keppra
