@weddlesbeard No question. Communication and the placement of people can create awareness especially with JSN in the backfield. Problem is / was when Brady was throwing that ball to James White out the backfield

Bc the CB & Safety are responsible for 1 & 2 vertical. 2 goes short to the out to occupy the qtr flat (2 short) player. 3 vertical is not apart of the responsibility of the deep defenders based on the structure of the coverage (regardless of “who’s” at #3). That’s the LBs threat.
