Everyone has a smartphone. Everybody knows all of this and they are acting like they're going to go get a rental property to fund their kids' college tuition. There is no waking anyone up, and there is no accomplishing anything without people being awake.

@JohnSmith410846 @DPearsonPHL Your high school wasn't ever going to let anyone go there who wasn't 100% proficient in reading. That's how private schools work. There are probably a lot better stats you could use to say your HS was a better school than public. Reading proficiency is not one of them

If more people understood the lifestyle available for parents in places like South Philly, where I live, we'd have fewer posts like this. This neighborhood is great for people at all stages of life. People walk home from the bar and walk to swim class, school, soccer practice.

This is why you can’t compare a private school to an urban public school. You think parents are going to spend money to send their kids to private school & not create a home environment where reading proficiency isn’t a priority? You think the school would accept otherwise?

Way more freedom than you would have if you lived in a suburb. Your high school didn’t accomplish anything. It self-selected!

@DPearsonPHL @ConnorPatrick Live near Pittsburgh. Their public schools suck just like Philly’s do, Doesn’t matter which one, My HS had a 100% proficiency. It wasn’t even considered much of a goal. But it was a private school If you have kids and want to live there add in tuition
