US population grew 6% in the last decade. Federal spending grew 40%, inflation adjusted. Not as bad as California, but you have to ask - where did all the money go?

I just went through Elon Musk's page. No word on the Artemis II crew's Moon landing or their beautiful Earth shots. If this was done by SpaceX, he would have been talking about it nonstop. The guy is petty. Come on, celebrate a good thing even if it not done by your company.

@mcuban Most people have no idea the size of investment portfolios of “nonprofit” hospital groups - Kaiser Permanente: ~$67–76B - CommonSpirit Health: ~$17.7B - Cleveland Clinic: ~$16.8B - Mayo Clinic: ~$21B Most generate investment income that frequently exceeds operating profit.

Why aren’t any of these at risk hospitals publishing their full accounting so everyone can see where they spend their money ? All but one group of hospitals that I have looked at potentially investing in, spend so much on consultants and fees that it’s no wonder they are at risk Plus, I have NEVER seen an industry that is worse than hospitals when it comes to buying medications and items like implants, screws, other devices. They overpay for everything. And then when you show them how to save money, their “supply chain” employees resist any change. They are so set in their ways, it’s a shock more don’t go out of business. Prove me wrong.
