First JuCo 🏈 game I ever called was between Laney College and MJC. Nervous and intimidated I went to introduce myself to Coach Beam, who I’d just watched on Netflix. He was so nice, gracious and funny; quickly put me at ease as he talked about the matchup. RIP Coach 🙏
