@Andrewnsnyder This is a much better way for Colbert to spend his time. For the sake of his soul and joy I hope he can ignore current events and immerse himself again in Middle Earth. I hope his efforts are worthwhile.

Stephen Colbert is writing a co-writing a script for a movie that covers Three is Company to Fog on the Barrow Downs, which were mostly skipped by Jackson.
I don’t know exactly how this will work, but, at the moment, I am much more interested in this than I am in Hunt for Gollum

In honor of Tolkien Reading Day and the destruction of the One Ring, we bring you a special announcement.

@MillerDakotaJ I really love the histories. Favorites are Henry IV part 1 and 2 and Henry V. I also love the big ones: Hamlet, Macbeth, Merchant of Venice, Romeo and Juliet, etc

@mishapathy Carve out 1-4 hours a month and visit a nursing home. Elderly people will be happy to hold your hand and pat your arm while you ask them about their lives.

@Jason_Trice Sometime this last year on X I read what has become my favorite statement about death: “he has left the land of the dying and joined the land of the living.” May you and your family be blessed.

My heart is full.
Yesterday we celebrated my Dad.
He always said he wanted peace and contentment. I think he found it.
I’m sharing what I said at his service here.

@WonderWomaNinja My favorite song to belt out at maximum volume is Linda Ronstadt’s “Different Drum”. You’d do great with it.

@musings_blonde @Dirtdragonmom My wife’s mom and grandma loved ambrosia and made it every big holiday. They were from south Alabama.
English

@Dirtdragonmom I’ve never seen ambrosia salad in AL, only in the Midwest. Also, they spelled ambrosia wrong LOL

True Oregonians eat Tillamook Ice Cream. Salt and Straw is strictly for Portlanders.

I've had one of these, and it's very good. But I don't think you can call a portion "generous" if you're charging $30. At that price it's a little skimpy.
Dudes Posting Their W’s@DudespostingWs
This is an infamous sandwich from Katz’s Delicatessen, lines out the door nearly every day, known for its generous portions and it sells for nearly $30.

@AppyOrtho If you are contrarian perhaps you could consider becoming Baptist? (joking, I’m a Baptist)
English

It's St. Patrick's Day, and that means time to look back at the Alabama Leprechaun. Said one wizened crone at the time, "It could be a crackhead got hold of the wrong stuff." Maybe so, but lo, brethren and sistren, we live in an enchanted world! 🤣🍀

@Strangeland_Elf I’m with you except for butter knives. Every one I’ve ever seen is right-handed. They oppress me and mock me and I won’t have them in my kitchen.

@DSeymoursLife thanks for sharing, noticed 2 new ones near me the other day- hopefully they'll have a catastrophic malfunction.
