Strait of Hormuz is closed again. Just hours after agreeing to reopen it, Iran has shut the route in response to Israeli strikes on Lebanon. The ceasefire hasn’t even lasted for a day.

This is REALLY BIG. Iran is charging ships a toll to pass the Strait of Hormuz, with payments being made in Crypto as per FT. Tolls reportedly start at about $1 per barrel of oil, which translates to roughly $2 million per large tanker. On an average day, around 140 ships pass through the strait within 24 hours. For 140 ships, this can generate a revenue of $280 million daily, or nearly $2 billion in Bitcoin or crypto per week. Just like US dollars now Countries will need to buy crypto to make these payments, which could significantly increase demand for any Crypto as reserve liquidity for international trade. This can positions crypto as a global trade settlement medium, not just an investment asset.

It's one big 3D Chess play by Trump. Honestly, I don't think markets will be tanking and the world is about to end. The markets have been pricing this in already, Oil is correcting and other markets are slightly up. I don't think we'll see a massacre either. Probably a late moment ceasefire and new negotations.

Today is going to be a BIG day. The deadline is 8PM ET tonight. Either Iran and the U.S. reach a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz or Trump will bomb the living hell out of Iran and the war will enter dangerous territory. If the deal is officially confirmed: - Oil will drop hard close to $100 - Stocks and crypto will explode higher just like the April 2025 tariff rally from the lows. If a deal is not confirmed and Trump bombs Iran's energy sites which are surrounded by civilians: - Oil will rise sharply to $130, potentially moving towards $150 like many analysts are predicting. - Stocks will crash hard as the market will expect a retaliation from Iran by closing the Strait of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandab Strait. - Crypto will crash with stocks and if Bitcoin breaks and closes below $65,800 the next drop could take out the $60,000 low sending BTC to $58k-$55k. So today will decide if the market will bottom and give us a relief rally or we are totally cooked with our magic internet money.
