We're not a prediction market. Not a terminal. Not a studio.

ok hype reel launch video
- love the use of the mascot throughout the video
- music is pretty killer on the buildup
- lotta good internet nostalgia
- p good scroll stopper
but
- font is in the uncanny valley (not crappy enough to seem intentional, not good enough to look nice)
- captions/text is hard to read - too many words, blends with background
- some parts could line up with the music better
- no idea what the product is, who its for, who the founder is or why it matters
- a lot clips are confusing
- I know this product has amazing UI, would have been great to tease that
- copy is weak in general
this is the right format for a "hey we are building something" waitlist launch video, but not executed well.
it needs to very clearly convey the problem and emotion around it. "finance is boring.... here's some internet stuff" doesn't hit.
most importantly, the potential users of this product probably isn't on X. and launch video conversion is usually trash anyway. so this video should be oriented around creating intrigue with prospective investors.
given this is a prediction market / betting app, I would have also centered the video around something like "get rich the fun way" since making money is traditionally a very viral topic. could also leverage fomo (people are having fun and getting rich and you aren't).

Watch expert stereotypes every luxury watch owner
Rolex: “High school dropout”
Richard Mille: “Very insecure”
AP: “First money made. Investment banking. Already has a Rolex or just skipped the queue and went AP because he loves watching YouTube videos and people wearing APs… for sure loves hip-hop”
Patek Philippe: “Extremely classy, well-dressed, serious, very thoughtful”
Hublot: “Very easy to be influenced and absolutely does not care”
Tudor: “Someone that’s not really that fussed about what people think of watches or someone at the beginning of their watch collecting journey”
Grand Seiko: “Someone that is just against everything. Wants to be on the opposite side of whatever’s mainstream”
Casio: “You don’t care. You’re just wearing a watch because it’s functional”
Zenith: “Someone that actually does their research, is very considerate and that watch was never an impulse buy”
JLC: “Someone that loves heritage, doesn’t want to spend the money for a Patek Philippe but still wants something historically important”
