Recapping this week in wrestling Twitter: - WWE did their finest AEW summer of 2023 impression and threw together a supercard for their biggest show of that made absolutely fuck all sense - WWE did their finest WWE 2019 impression and focused on celebrity appearances over their actual talented wrestlers as Triple H’s morphing into sexual predator Vince McMahon becomes more undeniable by the day - WWE did their finest WCW 2000 impression and announced a ladder match for WrestleMania which made no sense to their lacklustre on-screen product, assuming they forgot the qualifiers for the match hadn’t actually been televised yet. It’s just what they do - It was a week of returns in AEW, with Hikaru Shida, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, Bobby Lashley, Queen Aminata and tragically Chris Jericho making their comebacks to varying reactions from both AEW and WWE Fans, the latter who spent their Wednesday’s frantically deleting 5 months of pro Jericho tweets and instead critiquing all 1 of the AEW fans happy he returned - It must have been a slow week for a lot of people as somehow there was mindless discourse over PAC. Like, we have Logan Paul, Chris Jericho, Hook, Brock Lesnar and a mid singer with crap face tattoos on our screen at the moment, what the fuck are we doing? - WWE decided time really is a healer, and everyone has forgiven Vince McMahon and introduced his ugly name into a very awkward promo exchange between Cody and Stephanie McMahon, the context of which could be interpreted as Cody saying Stephanie will never be as good a sexual deviant as her deranged father/near on-screen lover - Some red pilled dude who preys on vulnerable boys with the unfortunate name Bryce felt the wrath of the IWC, with the beautiful irony of his previous tweet prior to criticising wrestling fans being ‘crypto, gambling & pokemon cards have consumed my life’.
